I had a consultation with the head director, Dr. Lee *-g, because I was planning to have upper blepharoplasty this summer. The advertisement said there was no consultation fee for eyes, but after the consultation, the front desk told me to pay a 20,000 won consultation fee. I asked, “Isn’t there no consultation fee for eyes?” and they said the director had said my face was asymmetrical, so it counted as a facial contouring consultation... So I paid the consultation fee. During the consultation, he asked if I had brought any photos of the eyes I wanted, so I showed him the photos I had prepared. He smiled slightly and asked if I thought they looked similar to my own eyes. I said I thought they did... and he said no. When I asked what kind of eyes the director thought would suit me, he said he would estimate the line height and amount of excision, and then proceed with surgery. At the time, even though it would have been my first surgery, he quoted a high price. Maybe it was because it was upper blepharoplasty, or because, due to sunken eyes, orbital fat would need to be taken from the back... I thought he had a “bad-boy” style, but somehow he seemed confident, so I was considering having surgery there. But they pushed too hard for a same-day booking. So I put it on hold.
