I was surprised because it was cheap compared with other places! I was surprised by how big the hospital was. I thought it would be small, but it had the feel of some SM company building, and there were 6 people just at the counter..ㄷㄷ
The counseling manager in charge of me also spoke with me in a comfortable atmosphere, so we talked while smiling, and she was kind.
I consulted with Director ㄱㄷㅎ, and I was worried about an indented scar, but he honestly said he did not recommend it, asking why I would necessarily do it and end up with a full-incision scar. Also, 8 other places all said things like they would open the eye, release adhesions, and set a new line, but this was the only place that described it as excising the scar area.
I don’t know which surgical method is better. But other places said that because I don’t have extra eyelid skin, if they cut out the scar, I wouldn’t be able to close my eyes, while here they said they could excise a little and I would still be able to close my eyes. But they told me to think carefully about whether I really needed surgery. Among the 8 places, ㄱㄴ Plastic Surgery, which discouraged surgery and turned me away, and ㄴㅅㅎ, who asked why I would even need surgery, felt conscientious to me..
I don’t know whether it was because my eyes are an extreme case and they weren’t confident they could do well, or because they were genuinely worried and discouraged me, but anyway, I think it’s better than doctors who just go ahead with surgery no matter what.. yeah
There was no pressure to pay a reservation deposit (the previous hospitals pressured me so much it was hard it was to the point where saying I wouldn’t put down a deposit was harder than the consultation), and they made me feel comfortable, saying that if I wanted, I could think it over and contact them again by KakaoTalk, so I was grateful. The price was also the cheapest.. But I was worried about two things: if I have an excision surgery, would I end up with lagophthalmos, and if the goal is scar improvement, is it right to accept a full-incision scar for an indented scar? So I’m a case who didn’t have surgery, yeah.
But since it was a bigger hospital than I expected, I wonder whether meticulous care is really possible. Oh, the 3-year AS policy was good. They also said they would give various injections like swelling shots and other shots. The most important thing is that the surgery goes well, so I guess that is what it is.. Anyway, I’m planning to visit more places for consultations.
