First of all, I haven’t even had something as common as double eyelid surgery. I can’t believe my first cosmetic surgery was double-jaw surgery. But I only had double-jaw surgery, and I became insanely pretty. Ever since I was young, whenever I went to the dentist, I grew up hearing that correcting facial asymmetry would require double-jaw surgery. So I naturally thought, once I’m fully grown, I should get double-jaw surgery. My father works at Asan Medical Center, so I could get a discount. So I decided to get orthodontic treatment and surgery at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. I didn’t even look into anywhere else. There was no online research or visiting clinics in person. Since the orthodontics department and the oral and maxillofacial surgery department are right next to each other, it was convenient to consult about orthodontics and double-jaw surgery together, and the professors had so much experience that they were extremely skilled. They didn’t ask for anything excessive. They didn’t just look at my face and speak carelessly. Only after taking all the photos did they say, it would be good to do it this way and that way. If they thought something didn’t really need to be done, they told me not to do it. But I had a protruding lower jaw, protruding mouth, and asymmetry, so I ended up doing the full course They said I had to remove my wisdom teeth before surgery, so I had 8 teeth extracted too. But after I was almost done with orthodontics, when it actually came time for surgery, I got so scared. And I was already pretty satisfied with orthodontics alone because my protruding mouth + protruding lower jaw had improved. The asymmetry was only noticeable in photos, and in real life it wasn’t bothersome enough to care that much, so I wondered, do I really need to go as far as surgery..? So I said I wouldn’t do it. I was going to finish with orthodontics only, but then suddenly I wanted to have the surgery. So I just said I’d do the surgery. Because it felt like a waste that I had my teeth extracted, and since the orthodontic plan had been made with surgery in mind from the beginning, it felt like all the orthodontic work up to that point would be kind of wasted. Anyway, on the day of surgery, I wasn’t that scared. I just did it (I think I had a freaking strong mentality). I was hospitalized for about a week? You absolutely need a guardian next to you. You can’t eat by yourself. For 2 weeks, you can’t open your mouth. And for a month or two, you can’t even chew meat. It was seriously the worst. I lost 8 kg (nice). And after 6 months? Honestly, my face changed little by little and I got used to my own face, so I thought it hadn’t changed that much. But my friend held out their fist and said, your face is this small, it got freaking tiny. That’s when it started to feel a bit real. And everyone around me said I was pretty. My nose and eyes were pretty from the beginning. Anyway, I became freaking pretty like that, so I’m really happy. I recommend the surgery to everyone
