<Before surgery><Before surgery><Before surgery><After surgery><After surgery><After surgery>Since I was young, close friends used to tease me about my protruding chin, but until I became an adult I didn’t feel much inconvenience or difference. After becoming an adult, I felt the need for orthodontic treatment. At first, I mainly had consultations at about 3 to 4 dental clinics, but everywhere said I was a case for double jaw surgery. While I was wondering whether I should also consult plastic surgery clinics, I heard that orthodontic treatment and double jaw surgery could both be done at once at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, so I found Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I had already compared several places, but first of all, I was impressed by the fact that Director Lee Seok-jae performs only one surgery per day. From an ordinary person’s perspective, especially in a medical field like this, it is really hard to understand and there are many unknowns, so I was even more worried. Since it is a major surgery, I had a lot of anxiety, but seeing the director appear confident gave me a lot of trust, so I chose it. For the first 1 to 2 days after surgery, it was really hard to breathe and even drinking water was difficult, so there were many hard parts. But from day 3, breathing became much more comfortable and my condition gradually started coming back. Until the first week, there was a lot of swelling and what I could eat was limited, so I had no strength at all and it was hard to walk for more than 10 minutes. But as nasal breathing became smoother, I started to feel myself recovering little by little. In week 2, after having the stitches removed and being able to eat foods like porridge or soft castella, I was gradually able to be a bit more active, and my condition improved a lot haha. Until week 3, honestly, I didn’t feel a big difference from week 2, but after week 4 passed and even the wafer was removed, speaking definitely became easier. I can also eat regular food as long as it isn’t too hard or tough, so although I’m not at 100%, I feel that many major restrictions in daily life are gone. I still feel like there is a lot of swelling inside my mouth and around my cheeks, but I can feel it gradually going down little by little. As the contours of my face are slowly taking shape from the face that was very swollen at first, I can imagine how I will look once all the swelling is gone, and I definitely feel a lot of satisfaction and anticipation. I really recommend Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!
