It’s been about 1 year since I had square jaw and cheekbone surgery. I had a really severe complex about my face shape, and it limited my hairstyles a lot too. I couldn’t really wear hats either because they looked so bad on me.. The surgery cost was no joke either, so after making a difficult decision, I had the surgery. It was done through an intraoral incision, so I have no scars at all. For the square jaw, I had something called cortical bone resection, which shaves down the thickness of the bone. They said this is a V-line procedure.. The kind where your face looks oval from the front and from the side.. They said if you just shave down the sides sharply, you can end up with a dog-like jaw like some celebrities, and anyway, they said this procedure was right for me. Around day 3, it hurt so much that I regretted it and thought, why did I do this? But after about a week, it was okay again. lol For about a month, my face was so puffy that I avoided going out as much as possible. Personality-wise, I’m the type who cares a bit about people looking at me.. If you’re not like that, there’s nothing really stopping you from going out lol Then once I started going around outside, maybe because I was getting fresh air, by around 2 months, the residual swelling started going down bit by bit, and by the 3rd month, it was all gone. Honestly, I don’t think it would have been effective if I had only done my cheekbones... Doing it together with the square jaw seems to have made it much more effective. And with the square jaw, it’s not just that the angle under my ears disappeared; I can visibly see that the overall volume became smaller.. I also spent months searching a community like crazy for hospital information... I chose a place that was fairly well-known and safe for facial contouring. I also feel like I made a really good choice of hospital. Anyway, when I think about how hard that one month was, a sigh comes out on its own, but lololol I’m so happy these days that all of that just fades away. When my face shape was at its worst, the thing I wanted to do most was wear an MLB cap. With straight hair, too. This hat has a high crown, so your face really has to be perfectly oval for it to suit you. These days I wear this hat with my hair down, and my friends say it really suits me.. and that it was good I had the surgery. lolololol Facial contouring surgery doesn’t look obvious, you know. So when I meet new people, I hear a lot that my face is really small. Once your face shape definitely becomes prettier, your features look prettier too. I also hear that I’m pretty a lot... For people who feel severely withdrawn because of their face shape, I really think surgery would make things much better, both externally and internally...
