After a long period of worrying, I finally went and did it..^^; I've been a member since before this site even opened.. But I only browsed and occasionally left replies... so my level isn't very high... At first I came here a lot because I wanted information about double eyelid surgery... And I also didn't have much of a chest at all... so back then I was thinking I'd do the eyes first... I couldn't easily decide on the chest because of the cost and the implant issues. It's already been 5 years since I had the double eyelid surgery.. I had it with the buried-suture method.. I had surgery on the weekend and went straight to work, so everyone at the company knew, but as time passed... they all forgot that I'd had surgery, and now I even hear people say my eyes are pretty, and people who don't know wouldn't even guess I'd had surgery... wow~ Anyway, back to the breast surgery story.. I'd wanted breast augmentation for a long time... but then suddenly, about a month ago, maybe that feeling came over me... I couldn't see anything else and was only interested in breast augmentation.. I persuaded my boyfriend, who was against it... got a little financial help, and went ahead with it.. I'd already gathered some hospital information while browsing before, but places that had been said to be good had become old stories long ago, and for some reason I ended up looking for hospitals that had done well more recently.. (As I see it, even if a hospital is skilled, because of individual differences... the results... and satisfaction levels are somewhat different too.) Once I decided on breast augmentation, it was already mid-February... and clothes have to get thinner and thinner.. I saw posts saying that after surgery you have to wear a support bra and things with Velcro, so if I didn't do it quickly, I thought this year I would only be able to do it when it got cold again... so I moved ahead right away.. Since I work, I had to go for consultations after work or on weekends, and that wasn't easy either.. So in the end I picked two places and went for consultations.. <Consultation> The first place is one that currently has a lot of reviews posted... I liked the part about there being little pain and being able to get back to daily life right away the most.. A lot of people were getting it done there... so I went.. The hospital building isn't important, but... it was a bit run-down, while the interior design was fine... It was a rather small space... and these days, wherever you go, the nurses seem kind.. The doctor is careful with word choice, so there was a slight impression of stumbling a little, but.. He was kind and explained things in detail.. I liked how considerate he seemed toward the patient's position. But the reason I was a bit reluctant about this place was... the cost was on the high side too.. And the anesthesia time was long... I think they said it took around 4 hours... a little over an hour under general anesthesia.. and then sedation anesthesia after that... They said the reason was to reduce pain, and that it was the doctor's hard work.. They said they do hemostasis one by one... but the idea of doing that for such a long time... Of course, the patient herself won't be aware of it, so if she wakes up later and the condition is good, it would be fine... Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a bit much... The second place is where my friend's younger sibling had surgery.. My friend's sibling didn't want to reveal that they had surgery, so I heard the story indirectly through my friend... and the sibling themselves was satisfied and happy, they said.. My friend also watched from the side and thought it was good, so they wanted to recommend it, which is why I went.. Of course, when I was gathering information before, this place was also one of the hospitals that seemed good.. So I went to the site first and looked... The place above emphasizes pain the most.. This place also considers pain, but the shape was also prettier than other places.. so it really caught my eye..^^;; They had moved buildings, so it was very clean, and they said they specialize only in breast surgery.. But the number of patients was about the same as places that do various procedures together, so I thought they must also do a lot of breast surgery only.. I felt a little uncomfortable because there was a breast scan before the consultation... but later it was good for comparing things during the consultation... After the breast scan, the doctor came in briefly, looked over the skin tissue and the shape for a moment, said a few short things, and left. As I was thinking, 'Why is this so perfunctory?' I came out and the nurse seemed to be printing out my breast photos... Then I went back in to consult with the doctor again, and this time he explained things in detail.. He looked nearly 10 years older than in the photos on the website, and was quite blunt.. Showing videos of the surgery details and of him actually performing the surgery (if you're afraid and don't like that, you can skip it) seems to give patients more trust.. I left and scheduled the surgery date right away, then had the surgery.. I tried to write everything in detail, but maybe I've written too much and made it overly long... I'll post only up to the consultation for now, and I have to take my medicine, so after lunch I'll post about the surgery and what happened after..^^;;
