Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

My epicanthal folds were so severe that I got in-place medial epicanthoplasty to remove them (…

My epicanthal folds had honestly stressed me out my whole life They were not just slightly there at the front, but really tight, severe epicanthal folds But because the distance between my eyes was narrow and a lot of the red area at the inner corners was already visible, no clinic recommended medial epicanthoplasty While looking for a clinic that would keep the distance between my eyes the same but remove only the epicanthal folds, I found that one clinic offered in-place medial epicanthoplasty exactly for people like me! I went to consultations elsewhere too, but the before-and-after photos they showed me while calling it in-place medial epicanthoplasty did not really make the epicanthal folds disappear dramatically, and honestly the difference was not even that visible.... It was more like they did a slight upper epicanthoplasty to make the epicanthal folds stand out less. They did not have postoperative photos of cases where severe epicanthal folds disappeared like in the before-and-after photos shown at that clinic.. This place had already been mentioned a few times in other communities for medial epicanthoplasty scarring, so during the consultation I was told to accept that if I got in-place medial epicanthoplasty, scar tissue could remain for a long time and vertical wrinkles could form But after surgery, the scar tissue was much worse than I expected, and although the epicanthal folds themselves were gone, I spent more money at a dermatology clinic on laser treatment for medial epicanthoplasty scar tissue than I did on the surgery ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (that clinic itself also gives scar-tissue injections, but I really thought this was not the kind of scar tissue that could be handled there, so I went to a dermatology clinic specializing in surgical scars and got scar treatment... Also, that clinic kept only saying let's wait and watch for 6 months first.. Knowing my personality, I did not feel confident I could just wait and watch for 6 months .. So one month after surgery, I went straight to a scar-specialist dermatology clinic and paid more than twice the surgery cost for cosmetic-surgery scar treatment ) The cost was lowered from 2 million to 1.5 million won on the condition that I booked surgery the same day after the same-day consultation There was no AS fee, and they said the double eyelid could come undone after medial epicanthoplasty, so if it did come undone, they would redo it while charging only about the material cost (300,000 won) One point at the front did come undone for me, but I plan to do that later while gradually monitoring the progress.. With medial epicanthoplasty, the eye shape can really change while you watch the progress over a long time, so I do think it is hard to make a firm judgment right away. In conclusion, now that about 300 days have passed, honestly the scar-removal cost was high, and I even had revision surgery with AS in the middle, but the epicanthal folds that had been my lifelong complex are almost completely gone, so honestly I am satisfied.. I recommend in-place medial epicanthoplasty only to people who are so stressed about their epicanthal folds that they think, even if a slight scar may show, I still need to do it. Worrying about epicanthal folds > worrying about scar tissue. If that is not you, please really research it carefully and decide cautiously !
