I really hated how I looked like I had a weak chin and my upper mouth area protruded, so I had 4 teeth extracted and wore braces for 2 years. I’m really happy that my teeth became neatly aligned, but my teeth definitely got weaker and I lost cheek fat, so my face became peanut-shaped.. Honestly, unless you have severe malocclusion of the upper teeth, a severely misaligned bite, or a protruding lower jaw caused by tooth alignment, I don’t think I’d recommend it. It also feels like my lips have almost disappeared..
