I had nose surgery, and the reason I had it was because my nasal bridge and nasal alae were complexes for me. At first, I was planning to have surgery before going to university and starting work, but because I was planning to study abroad after graduating high school, I thought it would be better for it to settle a bit, so I had surgery when I was 18. My birthday is early, so I was 18; you can think of it as senior year of high school. The date of the first surgery was 08.02.18, The reason for the surgery was the nasal bridge and nasal alae. The surgical method was inserting silicone in the nasal bridge, slightly shaving the nasal bridge bone flat, and using septal cartilage for the nasal alae to raise the nasal tip and make it slimmer and gathered. Result of the first surgery: my nose was tightly packed with cotton for 1 day - the next day they removed the cotton and disinfected it - when they removed the taping, my nose was sticking up like Pinocchio’s nose and the doctor was visibly flustered. ‘Uh.. uh... can you come back tomorrow? Come back tomorrow?’ he said. I remember it exactly. I got an injection called Triam through the inside of both nostrils. It was not a silicone inflammatory reaction. There was no itching or pain at all. A few days later, when the taping was removed again, the right nasal ala had a problem. Date and reason for second surgery: 08.03.31 The nasal ala surgery was absolutely not something I wanted for cosmetic reasons. By my standards, the right nasal ala had literally bulged up, so surgery was necessary, and the doctor said the cause could be blood accumulation or foreign material entering, and that he would only know after opening it. I reluctantly lay down on the operating table, and this time he said he was sorry, raised the silicone a little more, and said it went well. Result of the second surgery: there was noticeably less swelling than the first time. Even though the nasal bridge was touched in the same way, there was almost no swelling. The bulging of the nasal ala did go away, but this time the left nasal ala was the problem. It had come down as if flesh had filled up inside the nostril. He again said blood was accumulating. After saying to wait a few days, he said he would make a slight incision in the nostril under local anesthesia and drain the blood. Fully awake and conscious, after enduring the pain of 4 local anesthetic shots, I watched the process of cutting with a scalpel and suctioning the blood. Sutured again. Still, there wasn’t much difference in the nasal ala. A few days later, when I went to the clinic, this time he mentioned scar tissue. In addition, he asked whether blood kept pooling and didn’t coagulate well because that was just my constitution. He gave me antibiotics. I continued going to the clinic intermittently. [For reference, I had my eyes done somewhere else, and within a week all the swelling went down and I was walking around. Now no one knows I had surgery. It turned out so well that people think my eyes are natural. I had surgery at another clinic to prove that there was nothing wrong with my constitution] Date of third surgery: 09.01. Reason for surgery: nasal ala Result of the third surgery: after the first 2 months, they kept talking about swelling, so I waited plenty of months before going back. When I went, they talked about scar tissue again and said they would schedule revision surgery as soon as possible Rather than cosmetic reasons, I trusted them one last time, thinking there must be some issue inside the nose. After cutting out the scar tissue/flesh that had built up in the nose and draining the blood, they said the space where septal cartilage had been used was empty, so they used ear cartilage. (septal cartilage + ear cartilage) The area where ear cartilage was harvested bulged up due to a hypertrophic scar. After the first surgery ended, when they put on a special bandage, treated my ear, and gave the Triam injection in my nose, during the ear treatment they scraped something out, and it hurt terribly. I think this was what that was. During the second surgery, the left nasal ala had visibly collapsed and looked thick, but at least after the third surgery it improved a little. =This is my honest, unexaggerated surgical review, written as I remember it, and the part I’m worried about and want advice on is: I’m going this Thursday to talk about a refund. In my current condition, can I bring up a refund? The silicone in my nasal bridge shakes and moves around, the septal cartilage is bent, there is a hypertrophic scar where cartilage was removed from my right ear, an open rhinoplasty columellar scar, asymmetry between the left and right sides of my nose, and centered around the inside of my left nose, there is throbbing pain. If I’ve put up with this for 2 years, I can sufficiently talk about a refund, right?
