My eyes weren’t originally extremely small, but the line was faint and they looked stuffy, and I wanted slightly bigger eyes When I took photos, I especially hated how my eyes came out looking dull and unclear, so I eventually decided to have surgery. Because of rhinitis, I tend to wear a mask often, and when I wear a mask, only my eyes stand out more, so I became even more self-conscious about them. During the consultation, I said I wanted the line to be more defined and for my eyes themselves to look bigger and more refreshed, and the director recommended that it would be possible with non-incisional ptosis correction alone, and that adding epicanthoplasty would give an even better result. At first I wondered, “What if it’s too much?” but it was nice that he first explained the reason while looking at my eye condition, saying that insufficient muscle strength could make my eyes look stuffy. He also showed me directly with a sketch how the line would change, so I decided right away~ I thought the swelling would be less because it was non-incisional, but maybe because I did it together with epicanthoplasty, there was quite a bit for about 2 weeks. I was worried and contacted the clinic, and they said it would take about 1 month to go down completely. Still, there was almost no pain or discomfort, and I recovered smoothly while diligently using ice packs, ointment, and pumpkin juice as the clinic instructed. Even though my skin is sensitive, I got through it without any trouble! After exactly about 1 month, it settled naturally to the point where it was hardly noticeable even when I closed my eyes haha These days, even when I go out bare-faced, I often hear people say, “Your eyes got bigger” and “your eye shape became more defined” lol Especially the best thing when doing makeup is that the line has settled properly, so drawing eyeliner has become much easier! Before, even when I worked hard on my makeup, my eyes often looked small, but now even just curling my eyelashes makes my eyes look clear and bigger, which I like the most. And since it’s non-incisional, I also like that it doesn’t show when I close my eyes!
