Consultation Review After Shopping Around for Male Functional Nose Surgery

When I was young and full of energy, I got into a fight with a friend and broke my nasal bone. I had surgery near Konkuk University, but the nasal bones on both sides, around the same line as my eyes, ended up asymmetrical. I also have allergic rhinitis, so my nose gets so blocked that I can’t even sleep properly. When I smoke, smoke comes out of my right nostril like a mosquito coil.. On days like that, if I lie down, I’m done for.. So I looked things up on YouTube and went to a local clinic, and they said I had a deviated septum?? and allergic rhinitis too. So I looked for hospitals focusing on that and also checked university hospitals, but appointments were only available much later, so I just put it off because it was annoying. Then a friend’s family member had surgery at a hospital after breaking their nasal bone and told me to try going there, so that was my first in-person consultation. Consultation review (this is an extremely personal review) ㅈㅇㅈ (Samseong Station) Doctor I consulted with: female doctor (don’t remember the name/initials) When I entered the consultation room, the doctor came in about 30 seconds later wearing surgical scrubs, and I had the consultation with my photos displayed on the monitor almost like a wanted criminal poster. Since it was my first time, I wanted to crawl into a hole.. The consultation was kind and thorough, and she answered what I asked well, but I remember she didn’t really offer many opinions or ask many questions beyond what I asked. I think she said she would use autologous costal cartilage, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage as materials. After that, the consultant discussed the price with me in the same spot, and compared with other places, I think it was around the middle range. Private insurance reimbursement was possible, and since the hospital was spacious, I thought it would be nice for recovery. ㄷㅇㅇ (Sinnonhyeon Station) Doctor I consulted with: chief director I watched a few videos on YouTube and thought I’d get a consultation, so I went. The consultation was about 10 minutes and was ordinary. He said he would use some material, but I don’t remember well.. But after consulting with the doctor, I had the price consultation with the consultant, and personally I didn’t really like that it felt like a lot of various things were being added. The price was on the high side. Hmm.. ㅂ (Gangnam Station) Doctor I consulted with: Dr. ㄱㄱㅈ I found this place while searching too, and heard it was famous for functional nose surgery, so I went. Compared with the first two places, the consultation was more detailed and thorough. He said he would use only ear cartilage and septal cartilage, and personally, among the hospitals I consulted with, this one was the best. The consultant was also more comfortable to talk with than at the other places, or I should say the atmosphere didn’t feel rushed or anything. I think the price was similar to ㅈㅇㅈ or slightly lower. Private insurance reimbursement was possible too. It’s been some time since I had the consultations, so I don’t remember the deposit or small details, so I’m sorry to everyone reading that I couldn’t write more specifically. I still haven’t had surgery, and when my nasal obstruction gets worse I come into this community from time to time, but even after hospital consultations, the review levels are low, so I can only see anything if something is visible!!!.. Anyway, I’m still thinking while looking at reviews too, but there are so many brokers that I don’t know what information is accurate, and the more I search, the more I feel like I just have more to worry about... I wonder if I should go to a university hospital and only do the functional part, and when I see side effect reviews it’s scary, so I still haven’t been able to decide. I hope even my lacking review helps, and honestly, I also wrote this because I wanted to raise my points and read the private posts.
