Hello! Before I knew it, 7 months had passed since I had surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, so I’m writing this review. While looking mainly for oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics, I came across EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. There were many reviews, and after looking carefully, I saw that the doctors had excellent experience, so I felt I could trust them. When I visited for a consultation, the counseling manager, nurses, and all the other staff members were kind and gave me detailed consultation and guidance. The facilities were also very clean and nice. By my standards, the price was very reasonable, and even though I live outside Seoul, the orthodontic clinic in my area also recommended EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, which made me trust them even more, so I chose Director Shin Hee-jin. Right after surgery, I remember having a really hard time because my throat hurt from the blood drainage bag and it was difficult to breathe. As time passed, at 1 month after double-jaw surgery, there was still swelling, but the sensation around my jaw had recovered more than before, and except for tough and hard foods, I was satisfied because I could cut up and eat most foods. However, the screws embedded in my upper gums hurt a little when they moved, but it was bearable, and I really wanted to have the screws and wafer removed as soon as possible. By month 2, there was no major difficulty in daily life, but my face was a little more swollen every morning and residual swelling remained, so I had to manage the swelling. The sensation around my lips had not completely returned, so I sometimes spilled food, but except for tough and hard foods, I was able to eat most foods. By month 3, only the sensation had not fully recovered, but daily life had become comfortable, and I became more satisfied after hearing at my hospital checkup that I could eat hard foods and do exercises such as gym workouts :) At month 4, I sometimes spilled food while eating due to reduced sensation, but almost all the swelling had gone down. As my jawline became defined, I gained confidence in my side profile and started enjoying taking photos. I still had tingling and numbness around my mouth, but I looked forward to further recovery. By month 5, I was only slightly swollen in the morning, the sensation around my mouth had recovered by about 80%, and I could do intense exercise and eat tough foods, so I was living almost like before. Now all that remained was residual swelling and sensory recovery! At month 6, even if I was slightly swollen only in the morning, it went down quickly, and much of the sensation had returned. My side profile was not perfect yet, but I thought it would improve with time, and there were almost no obvious signs of double-jaw surgery, so overall I was very satisfied. At month 7, almost all the swelling had gone down, and even if I was slightly swollen in the morning, it disappeared quickly once I became active. Except for occasionally spilling food when eating because the sensation in my lower lip had not fully returned, I had completely adjusted. Every time I look at my pre-surgery photos, I naturally think that I made the right decision to have double-jaw surgery and facial contouring surgery.!!! haha Thank you, Director Shin Hee-jin!
