Today I went to the hospital for a checkup after more than 2 weeks. But... the doctor... kept touching my nose over and over... and had me stand against the wall, so I stood there while he kept looking at my nose.... Then he said we should do a revision surgery.. at the earliest possible date... So I was startled... Revision surgery after just 2 weeks..... So I asked whether I really had to have revision surgery... and he gave me three possibilities... 1. In its current state, it won’t curve any further and will settle into place. 2. Once the swelling goes down more than it is now, it will probably get better. 3. There is a high chance it will become even more crooked than it is now. He said I fall under number 3 among those three. I also felt like my nose looked crooked.. and my family said it seemed crooked too... But because my nose was originally crooked and asymmetrical, I just thought it couldn’t be corrected and let it go... Today the doctor said it would be better to have revision surgery... He said they would open up the suture line inside the nose, remove the silicone, and then insert re-shaped silicone again.... He said it’s a relatively simple procedure... and that there wouldn’t be much swelling, so not to worry... But since they’re touching my nose again.. I asked if that wasn’t bad... He said that because the silicone has already settled, revision surgery at that stage is riskier, whereas revising it before it has settled is less risky and better for the nose... And he said they don’t even need to cut inside the nose again... so I made a reservation for next Wednesday first.. But I’m really worried because it would be revision surgery just 3 weeks after the first operation... The discomfort after nose surgery and ㅠㅠ the whole month because of my nose.. reallyㅠ But is it really okay to do revision surgery?? It’s a surgery to put the silicone back in.... and it would be surgery again after just 3 weeks... What do you all think??? I can’t even sleep because of this ㅠㅠㅠ
