Hehehe, since my nose had previously had inflammation, I didn’t want to use silicone again, and among donated dermis options, AlloDerm was used as the material. I was worried when I heard that with dermis, the absorption rate can’t be predicted, so there’s no way to know how much will remain, and it could end up uneven... but I had no other options, so ㅜㅜ I trusted them and had the surgery..
I had also developed contraction, and my original nose was the type where the nostrils were quite visible, so from the start I couldn’t even expect an extremely glamorous nose.. We decided to focus on lowering the nasal tip using autologous costal cartilage, and in line with that, the procedure was done by naturally placing AlloDerm along the nasal bridge.
In the beginning, the director said they had overcorrected while taking the absorption rate into account, and I was really worried because it looked more like an Avatar nose than I had expected. But now, about 1 month later, quite a lot of the swelling has gone down, so it’s at a point where there’s no discomfort in daily life..?? They said dermis needs to be observed for about 6 months until it is absorbed, so it’s not the final nose yet, but still, I’m so happy to have escaped the days of living with a contracted nose, seriously ㅜㅜ
