I found the diary I wrote on Cyworld after the surgery I had in 2015, lol I was looking it up because I’m planning to do a revision now, and suddenly all the feelings came back vividly, so I brought it here There were before-and-after photo reviews, but I didn’t think there was anything about the surgery process itself So I’m posting this for reference!!
----------------------------------------
First, the surgery was scheduled for 3 p.m. today, so I fasted from 12. They even said not to drink water, so for no reason my throat felt so dry....ugh When I arrived at the hospital and met the consultant manager, I paid first, and it was the first time I had ever swiped such a huge amount of money, so my hands were shaking..... I swiped a card for almost 3 million won... When I saw the text saying the money had been withdrawn, I just blanked out.. It felt like cyber money had disappeared? lol I’m broke my bank balance
Anyway, I went down and changed clothes. I put on patient clothes top and bottom, removed all my makeup, didn’t put anything on my face, tied my hair up, and took photos. They said they would use them for before-and-after comparison. After that, while I was waiting, the director came and had a final consultation with me. I have a very, very slight hump on my nose bridge and a low nose, to the point where it’s almost hard to call it a hump nose.. it’s just a slight curve. They marked the hump with a pen... and I made one last appeal to the doctor. I said, "Please make it really natural. So no one will know I had anything done." Then he said, "What’s the point of surgery if no one knows... haha.. okay, got it." Ah, seriously... the doctor was handsome.... Went into the operating room Once I went in, the nurses told me to lie down on the operating table. That’s when I started getting scared.. What have I done? Ugh, is this really the right thing? Ugh, while thinking all sorts of thoughts flooded in... What if the anesthesia doesn’t work? What if I don’t fall asleep? What if I wake up after falling asleep and it hurts a lot? And so on Especially because I had once woken up during a sleep-anesthesia gastroscopy before... I was so scared.. When I lay down on the operating table, it was warm, like an electric heating pad or something, and that eased my tension a little. First they shaved my nose hair lolllllllll they carefully shaved it very cleanly After that they disinfected my whole face with red medicine. In my ears, behind my ears, my neck, shoulders, under my collarbone, the back of my shoulders, the back of my neck, everything was thoroughly wiped down with red medicine. Then they disinfected inside my nose, and they put some alcohol-soaked cotton or something inside my nose and scrubbed it out like they were really digging around They cleaned really deep inside and it hurt I had a little rhinitis, so the nurse told someone to bring more gauze and shouted... embarrassing.. After all the disinfection was done, they covered me with cloths, two or three layers, and I lay there waiting until the doctor came At that point I started thinking all sorts of things. What if I regret it? What if I don’t like it? What if it hurts? What if I can’t fall asleep? And so on I wanted the nurse to say something comforting or encouraging, so I made it obvious that I was scared, but... They just did their job.... I felt like I might cry, so I said, "Um... is it okay if tears fall...?" and she sprang up from the chair like a spring had launched her and said, "Where!!!!!!!!!!!" then gently wiped them away lolllllllll When the doctor came in, the nurse finally gave me the medicine that would make me fall asleep. "You’ll fall asleep soon.." I was getting a bit dizzy.. Honestly, I don’t think I actually fell asleep. In my memory it was, "You’ll fall asleep soon.." hmm.. what if I don’t fall asleep.. dizziness Eyes closed -> suddenly I was wandering through a tunnel of light and could feel something happening above my nose That was it. But I think I probably slept for about 20-30 minutes, because I had no awareness at all of the local anesthesia or the incision.. Anyway, I was wandering through a tunnel of light in a dream. Lights were whizzing past as if I were running at the speed of light I could feel something thumping and pounding above my nose, and instinctively I knew they were shaving down the hump!!!!!!!!!!! Something blunt was going thud-thud back and forth, and of course it didn’t hurt at all lol And then I could hear the doctor talking "Give me Medpor." I thought, oh, so now they’re putting in the tip? lol Inside I was thinking, when will this end.. I wish I could fall asleep again.. sob.. So I opened my eyes and kept looking at the nurse. No reaction.. so I looked at the doctor.. kept looking... did they not know I had woken up? So I tried to speak. I wanted to say, "Why do I feel so fine...?" But what came out of my mouth was, "Grrr-rorrrr..." The blood that had gone down during surgery had filled my throat with phlegm, ugh lolllllllll I couldn’t speak lol Everyone was just doing their own jobs... focusing on their own tasks... sigh... so I just kept my eyes closed. Fine, you focus on my nose... Haa... I was curious, so I quietly opened my eyes, and at that exact moment it must have been when the silicone was going in.... I saw the silicone right before it went in, right next to my eye I was so shocked I closed my eyes again I think maybe they put it in once, didn’t like the shape, and took it back out again............ It looked like there was blood on the silicone The director moved my head this way and that to check the angle and shape, and when they were satisfied, they started stitching lol And then they put on the tape It was finally ending such a relief.... I had my eyes wide open and was expecting something like... it’s over, good job, but... they left without saying a word. The nurse looked at me and only then said ㅡㅡ "Are you conscious?" I wanted to say I’ve been conscious this whole time but I couldn’t get the words out, so I barely managed, "P...phlegm..." I thought I was fine, but once I sat up I did feel dizzy. Sitting there I spat out phlegm, and it was completely blood-tinged phlegm..쿨렄쿨렄 and blood kept coming out a lot No matter how simple it looks, surgery is surgery, I thought. They helped me to the recovery room, and after resting about 15 minutes on a bed with a warm electric blanket turned on my dad came, and I went home by car lol ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ
And then yesterday I was taking selfies in the car lol and I kept thinking I’m glad I did it.. wow now it doesn’t look like a round pig nostril and a 220-volt outlet!! My nostrils have lifted into an oval shape.. I love it. And when I took a side-profile photo, my chin looked relatively more recessed lol but I thought my forehead was round and protruding, and now that the glabella has lifted, my forehead looks flat lol Anyway, I think it turned out way prettier. Now I just want the swelling and bruising to go down quickly, become natural, go out, take selfies, and dress up!!! So happyyy Looking at my old selfies now, ah.. my nose.. it keeps bothering me. I really did the right thing. But right after surgery yesterday, there was no swelling at all so I was fine, but starting at night it gradually swelled, and by this morning it was ㄷㄷㄷ even my eyes were puffed up. It was truly a real avatar.... There are bruises under my eyes too. Ah, I hope this goes away quickly. It’s only the second day, so this is when swelling is at its worst... I want the swelling to go down fast and the tape to come off~ It has to be natural and pretty
