People around me would go out of their way to say that ^^ Even if they hadn’t said it, I was already dissatisfied with it myself. Honestly, I see and judge my own face more often than anyone, so how would I not know….. But when I was younger, I didn’t have money, and the idea of getting rhinoplasty felt scary, so I couldn’t really look into it. I once thought, should I at least try getting a procedure because my friend was going? But when I actually went for a consultation, they said residue could remain in the nose and that the longevity would only be a few months, so I gave up immediately If this feeling had just come and gone briefly, it would’ve been fine, but every year, every time, the cooldown for wanting rhinoplasty would always come back.. So after a certain point, I made a rhinoplasty savings account and waited it out. When I reached my target amount (I saved comfortably because I didn’t want to give up while looking into it because of money), I started seriously looking for clinics 1. Find places that people often visit through online research/in-person consultations I felt like if I went just based on the ads clinics commonly put out, I wouldn’t be able to judge accurately, so first I went around to well-known clinics. Since many people look for them, there must be a reason....... 2. When looking at reviews, see whether they match my taste This probably applies to other surgeries too, but people say that for the nose, your aesthetic sense really has to match well. I didn’t want a nose that looked too natural; I wanted to look a bit like a Japanese actress? Like a classic beauty...... with a strongly sophisticated feeling.... So looking through reviews took a really long time There surprisingly aren’t many places like that..... 3. After the consultation, check whether they make unnecessary recommendations Once I was somewhat satisfied with the aesthetic sense/consultation, when they made the surgical plan, I judged whether they were also trying to force other things on me unnecessarily. While looking into rhinoplasty, I also wanted to get facial fat grafting while I was under anesthesia, so I often asked about it when I went for in-person consultations. The places that took that chance to bundle-sell other things too..... I really can’t forget those 3 places ^^ So I excluded places like that, and I chose a place that focused mainly on rhinoplasty and recommended fat grafting only after considering my nasal height and overall facial proportions together After surgery, it was truly a day-by-day battle with myself...... One day my nose shape would look okay, and another day it would look so awkward because of swelling, and it somehow looked like the nasal tip was lifted My mind kept changing. But after about 2 weeks, that restless feeling calmed down a bit...... From then on, I just liked it because the shape was so pretty In the 2-week photos, the nasal height looks a little higher? than what I wanted, but they said that as time passes, the swelling in the nasal tip will go down and it will drop a little, so I just waited it out. By the 1-month mark, I liked it so much that every day was a selfie bomb.. I kept taking side-profile photos of my nose every day.... I intentionally saved up the maximum amount of money and got it done at a famous clinic, and I really think I did the right thing Oh, and one tip for when you get rhinoplasty/autologous costal cartilage harvesting....!!!!! Whether it’s during surgery or for 1-2 weeks after surgery, please, please only wear comfortable clothes..... Especially instead of clothes you have to take off and put on over your head, it’s best to wear a thin, soft, flowy cardigan!! I also wore button-up pajamas, so my upper-body muscles? the area around the rib where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested didn’t pull, so it didn’t hurt too badly. I think my recovery was better than average...... Even compared with before, my nose changed dramatically, so I’d be willing to endure this much a hundred times over
