Since this is a community cafe, I wondered whether this post might not fit the purpose of the cafe and thought about not posting it, but I’m posting because I think it definitely may help someone... After coming in for a few days, I felt like there are surprisingly many people like me, so I thought this post might be very helpful to some people, and I wanted to do one good thing at the start of the year.... First of all, for those whose square jaw is a complete complex, I strongly recommend surgery. People like that, even before surgery, seemed excited rather than nervous.. Even when swollen, they were happy, as if throwing off all the resentment they had carried... But the problem is people like me, whose square jaw is not severe, who get surgery just to become a little prettier. Actually, until my mid-to-late 20s, I lived without feeling that my face had angles... I was told fairly often that I looked good too...(Sorry....ㅡㅡ;;) The problem was that this summer, when I visited an aesthetic clinic to get Botox between my eyebrows, they recommended square-jaw Botox to me... They said if I got it, my currently slightly angular jaw would look slimmer and prettier.. and told me to get it... From then on, I started thinking, oh, my jaw must be a little angular.. and I kept focusing only on my jaw.... So I thought I might not have time later, and people say recovery gets slower as you get older, so after consultations at a few places, I hurriedly went ahead with square-jaw surgery (side jaw). I went to about 3 consultations... and no hospital tried to stop me. They said that if I smoothed out the slight angles on the sides, my face would look softer and, because my features are distinct, I would become really pretty.. That’s how they put it.. My chin is already slim now, so they didn’t recommend a V-line, only the side jaw, so in the end I did it... only the side jaw... Anyway, now it’s almost day 9-10 after surgery... and I regret it so much..... It’s not just because of simple swelling,,,, I know someone around me who had it done too... I know this residual swelling takes a year to go down, and I know the tightening feeling under the jaw from scar tissue lasts a year. I know scar tissue forms too.... The reason is, first, I can feel that my body has gotten worse from general anesthesia... Starting with my complexion, my skin looks dark and unhealthy... And first of all, my skin has lost elasticity, so I have two folds of flesh under my chin... I feel like this will stay like this even after the swelling goes down... Rather, even if there was a slight angle, I think my face before, when the skin was firmly attached to the bone, looked smaller.... Instead, now my skin has no elasticity, and although my face shape is oval, it somehow looks lifeless... and my face looks bigger..... Having to live with this tightening scar-tissue feeling for a year is stressful too. I knew this feeling could happen, but it bothers me to the point of giving me a headache... It feels heavy... I really don’t think facial contouring is a simple surgery...... It’s almost day 10... and there is quite a bit of swelling. For those who work and plan to lie that it was wisdom teeth or something.... I think you need to take at least 10 to 14 days off.... Anyway, even if the swelling goes down completely, I think I’ll keep regretting this surgery. Hiding in my room, I wonder what on earth I’ve done... It’s not like I’m going to become a celebrity... I wish I had rather invested that money in clothes or skin care, and tried to become one of those people who are not necessarily doll-like pretty but whose style or atmosphere is pretty... I regret it so much..... sigh.... Anyway, since it’s something you decide for yourself, even if I post this, people who have decided on surgery won’t necessarily cancel it...... But unless you are someone whom the hospital said would not see much effect, or someone who has such deep resentment about your facial contour that you can happily endure this recovery period... I hope you invest that money in yourself in some other way... Truly, as someone with experience... this is my advice.. They told me I would become 30% prettier if I did it, and even so I regret it this much.... Really..... I’m depressed. For the year until the residual swelling completely goes down, I think my previous face will actually be much prettier. I have a blind date in a month too... I even think it might be better to go with my old face... I feel so pathetic and 100% ashamed of myself.... I feel like such a materialistic woman... Like someone who doesn’t even try to cultivate the inside.. and just pointlessly messes around with her face... that kind of person...... I want to cry.... I’m sorry for rambling so much... Anyway, I hope this helps....
