<Before surgery><After surgery>Ever since I was young, every time I looked in the mirror, I was always bothered that my jaw looked especially prominent. When taking photos, I came to prefer side views or diagonal angles over straight-on shots, and even then I didn’t like them, so I always felt like I wanted to cover something. I wondered if orthodontic treatment might improve it, so I tried orthodontic treatment at a dental clinic. My tooth alignment definitely became prettier, but the jawline itself did not change much. Rather, near the end of orthodontic treatment, my doctor said this was a structural issue and it might be difficult without double-jaw surgery, so I think that was when I began seriously considering double-jaw surgery. After becoming an adult, I personally compared various hospitals and gathered information. While carefully looking through many reviews and explanations, I came to know an oral and maxillofacial surgery hospital. When I went for a consultation, both the consultant and the director treated me very kindly, and especially the fact that they perform only one surgery a day and that the representative director performs the surgery personally gave me trust. I think I had almost made up my mind on the spot. After consulting with the director, I decided to have double-jaw surgery + 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw + front chin)! I had the surgery on March 19. Honestly, the hospitalization period after surgery was not easy. The swelling was severe, and eating was difficult, so I was very exhausted physically and mentally. Still, I focused only on recovery while carefully following the precautions provided by the hospital, and whenever I had discomfort or questions, if I asked through KakaoTalk, they answered right away and kindly, which was really a huge help. Thanks to that, I was able to recover smoothly without major problems. It has now been about 3 months since the surgery. Every time I look in the mirror, the first thought I have is that I wonder what it would have been like if I had done it earlier lol Before, I rarely took selfies, but these days, seeing myself naturally holding up the camera feels really fascinating and satisfying. Especially because my jawline has become much softer and the overall balance of my face has stabilized, I have much more confidence than before. Of course, double-jaw surgery is a major surgery and recovery is not easy, but I’m satisfied with the result lol Everyone, if you have concerns like mine, please make sure to get surgery
