I had always had a lot of concerns because of facial asymmetry. Because of that, I ended up pouring a huge amount of money into Korean medicine clinics... but rather than getting better, it seemed to be getting worse, so while searching online, I happened to find Director Park Jun-gyu’s blog. I read through the director’s blog closely and asked questions too. At that time, the director said it was asymmetry that anyone can have and not severe enough for surgery, so I completely forgot about it and lived on... Before it got any later, I thought I should at least have one consultation... so I made an appointment and went in. Before seeing the director, I told the consultant that I had come because I was concerned about asymmetry, and she said surgery cannot be done just because of asymmetry... and that the director would probably say the same thing... That’s what she told me. She said my retruded chin was more severe than the asymmetry, and that chin advancement was more urgent. Honestly, I knew I had a retruded chin... but since I don’t usually see my side profile much, I didn’t think it was that serious... But wow, when they took photos at the clinic, my side profile was kind of... like that... Looking at the photos, all I could say was, it really is kind of bad... lol The director also said the problem was not the asymmetry, but the retruded chin... and that while doing chin advancement, some degree of asymmetry could be corrected. After he said that, I booked the surgery right away that day. On the day of surgery, I had one more consultation with the director, heard a general explanation of how the surgery would be done, and went into the operating room. I hadn’t been nervous even until the day before surgery, but once I lay down on the operating table, I did get a bit nervous... I inhaled the anesthetic gas, and when they woke me up, the surgery was already over. As for the pain that people may be curious about... well, many people say it doesn’t hurt... For me, the day of surgery plus the next day, about 2 days, hurt insanely badly... It really hurt so much, like someone was continuously beating me up.... It hurt so much that I even thought I shouldn’t have had the surgery. But starting exactly on day 3, like a lie, there was no pain at all. Then in week 2, I stopped by the clinic to have the stitches removed.. At 1 month, I went to the clinic and got swelling injections, and the swelling went down a lot again. As for swelling, by 1 month, there isn’t a very huge difference compared with before surgery... but there is still some swelling. And... some people worry about side effects... Of course, I also worried a lot, but maybe because the director is a veteran, I have absolutely no side effects. Many people say that after surgery, sensation around the chin decreases and then slowly recovers, but I didn’t even have that at all. Other than my face changing compared with before surgery, nothing else is different. I’m very satisfied with the surgical result too... and people around me like it even more than I do.... lol I’ll attach before-and-after photos. I had 10 mm advancement.
