Each day’s change feels like a new “child.” I added photos from day 9. As I’m writing this, it’s day 12. I don’t have any photos from today. haha Yesterday and today, while looking in the mirror, I felt as if my old face had come back, but I think that’s because I’ve gotten too used to my fat-grafted face. I was feeling discouraged, thinking the retention rate was zero, but my mom and older sister said that wasn’t true. They said it looks like the swelling has gone down nicely. So I compared it with my old photos, and the sunken areas were still filled in. Right now it feels like most of the swelling is gone? Up to day 10, the photos were taken in the morning, so maybe that’s why it still looks like there’s a little swelling. I added one more photo so you can see how swollen I was on day 4. ----------------------------------------------- I added photos from day 6. People were curious about my overall facial line, so I didn’t mosaic the nose area so you can see the forehead-to-nose line. I think I’ll only know the exact retention rate after 2 weeks have passed. The clinic said that after 2 weeks, what’s going to remain will remain, and what’s going to go down will go down. There’s a bit more swelling in person than in the photos. It definitely seems that as my face gained more three-dimensionality, my face looks smaller in photos and the swelling also looks less noticeable. As I’m posting this, it’s exactly one week. (I had it done last Tuesday.) There is still swelling. Maybe because of the swelling, my forehead is still very full and my cheeks are still very full too. Yellow bruises have appeared here and there. If you don’t look closely, you can’t really tell, but under bright light, I can see yellow bruising coming up. --------------------------------------------- I had full-face fat grafting at a certain clinic in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul. It’s not a plastic surgery clinic but a hospital specializing in liposuction and fat grafting, so maybe that’s why the price was really reasonable, and I booked it right away. But then, thinking about it again, it was so cheap that before doing it I felt really anxious. Since it wasn’t a famous place, there also wasn’t much information about it. Since I had already booked it, I decided to relax. I went in thinking, whatever, I don’t know anymore. Originally, I have a wide forehead, deep-set eyes, and a very strong V-line, so my face is slightly inverted-triangle shaped. Well, in conclusion, I had it placed in the middle of my forehead, a little in the temples, a little between the eyebrows, the nasolabial folds, and the cheeks. They took fat from my thighs and flanks (love handles) and injected it. With sleep anesthesia, I just went out instantly in one shot..; When I woke up, I was in the recovery room, and nothing else hurt at all, but my thighs hurt so much. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but I was making a fuss and getting irritated at my boyfriend who came to pick me up. Because it hurt ㅠ After about two hours, that pain disappeared, but like everyone says, the muscle soreness, like I’d been hit by someone, continued, and I still have it now. When I lie down on the bed or sit down, my thigh area keeps throbbing and hurting. From the day I came back until exactly about day 3, I was swollen, but they said it wasn’t that severely swollen. I also didn’t think it was to the point where I couldn’t go outside at all. Today is day 4, and I do think a lot of the swelling has gone down. My boyfriend still doesn’t seem used to it and says more needs to go down, and he’s worried, asking if it won’t just stop like this ....;;; lol lol lol Even to me, my cheeks are still very full, so at a glance my face does look like I had something done. It seems the director put a lot into my cheeks, considering what will be absorbed -_- lol ;; At the clinic where I had it done, they seem to do the second round rather early. They told me to do it between 3 weeks and 2 months, and that after 2 months, that fat is just discarded.. For the second round, I’m only going to put it in my forehead. If I put it anywhere else, maybe just the nasolabial folds? Because of the swelling in my cheeks right now, my nostrils are uneven....;;; lol lol They’ll go back once the swelling goes down, right? lol lol lol lol I thought fat grafting was no big deal, but if this counts as surgery, it’s a major surgery too. Everyone, choose carefully and make your decision, and become prettier. :)
