<preoperative front-view nose><preoperative side-view nose><postoperative front view><postoperative side-view nose><taken with the rear camera>Before surgery, my nose was very plain and low, and from the front, it was noticeably a bulbous nose. I had felt for a long time that my nose wasn’t pretty, but deciding on rhinoplasty wasn’t easy, so I only kept thinking about it. Then I did a lot of online research and in-person visits and ended up getting surgery. Since I had made up my mind about plastic surgery, I thought making it too natural would feel like a waste of money, so I asked them to improve the bulbous nose clearly. This was my first time going to consultations, so I don’t know if it’s normally like this or if it was just like that for me; I went for a nose consultation, but some places recommended other surgeries, and even though I clearly said I wanted a definite change, some places designed it too naturally, so I naturally ended up filtering those places out. Still, I’m not the type to be easily swayed, so I think it was fortunate that I didn’t fall for that kind of sweet talk. During the consultation, they looked at everything in detail one by one, and because I also needed functional nose surgery, I had surgery at a place that properly checked those parts. For the nose materials, I had silicone, septal cartilage, and functional nose surgery together. Honestly, functional nose surgery was something I was unsure about before surgery, so I was uncertain whether it would be good to do it, but every clinic I visited recommended it after taking CT scans, and here they explained functional nose surgery in detail, and they said reimbursement was possible too, so I thought I might as well get it while I was doing surgery. Maybe because the process before getting surgery was a bit rough, the actual surgery process seemed to go more smoothly than expected. That makes sense because the hospital itself does a lot of rhinoplasty, and they proactively explained things I didn’t know, things I might not know, and things I absolutely needed to know, so there wasn’t much I had to worry about. But having the splint and cotton packing that I’d only heard about was so hard.. I don’t know if it was just me, but it felt like going to a swimming pool and getting a lot of water up my nose? It was stuffy, yet it seemed like I could breathe, but it also didn’t feel refreshingly clear.. When my nose was about to run, it was even harder because I couldn’t scratch it hard. Still, once the splint came off, things like that felt somewhat reassuring. First of all, I could see the shape of my nose, and the bulbous nose that I had found so tiresome was mostly gone, so even considering the swelling, I liked it. But I also wondered, isn’t it a bit too high? When I looked up other people’s reviews, they said it can come down a bit, so I waited quietly. I had already had the surgery anyway, what could I do at that point? As for the swelling itself, I felt it gradually went down in the order of bridge of the nose > nasal tip, and because I wanted something moderately glamorous yet natural, I’m satisfied with my nose. Because it was clearly improved, not only my side profile but also from the front, I think the bulbous nose is gone. If I hadn’t gone this far, I don’t think the raised nasal tip would have shown at all from the front.. I’m glad I followed the director’s advice. Before-and-after photos? I want to upload them for comparison, but I don’t know how to attach the photos; So I’m just uploading them. This is a review I’m posting purely because I’m satisfied, so I didn’t write things like the cost. If you’re curious, I can tell you, but it depends on what materials they recommend, so I think it helps to diligently do your own in-person consultations.
