I'm on day 47 after nose surgery. I had functional + cosmetic rhinoplasty, and I've had several issues since then, but right now the foreign-body sensation is driving me crazy... It feels like, how should I put it, like there's a booger stuck on one side of my nose. I tried removing it with a cotton swab, but it doesn't seem to be a booger, it seems like mucous membrane.... Do I have to endure it for 3 months Or do I need revision surgery... The doctor said it would be okay after 3 weeks, but it's still like this now, so it feels strange. Is there anyone here like me??

Lalaby Don't poke inside your nose... Did they use rib cartilage? If rib cartilage is added around the columella, it's normal for the foreign-body sensation to be especially strong at first. After some time, it settles a bit and gets better. If you keep poking your nose, it'll get irritated and you'll bleed easily, so leave it alone.

During my first surgery they used septal cartilage and there was nothing wrong, but maybe because they used rib cartilage this time, the mucous membrane on the left looks like it's protruding like scar tissue, and on one side the foreign-body sensation is driving me crazy...
Lalaby [@참주] It's normally like that at first. If they build a rib-cartilage support strut, it's usually like that. Gradually you'll adapt, and the protruding part will also gradually adjust? and not look protruded anymore (I don't know the mechanism, whether it goes inward or what). You do have to tolerate some discomfort/foreign-body sensation, but it gets better than the early stage.

참주 [@Ajwjw21] It comes and goes. Basically, the foreign-body sensation is 100% there, and breathing feels like I can only breathe about 5 out of 10.
