+3 days, Thursday. They said they would remove the tape, so I ran to the hospital happily. In the morning, I had pumpkin juice and sweet potato. (Sweet potatoes are soft to chew and tasty, so before I knew it, pumpkin sweet potatoes had become my staple food;) I gargled diligently. The nurses said it seemed okay to remove the tape, so I felt even happier as I received laser treatment and saw the director. But the director.. thought about it.. and said.. still.. tape is better than wearing a compression band, right? and told me to keep it on for a few more days.ㅠㅠ (I guess it’s because there’s still swelling.ㅠㅠ) He also asked about sensation in my lips, so when I said that while receiving laser treatment I felt a tingling, pins-and-needles numbness, he reassured me that if there is a change, that’s good, and sensation can come back quickly.. He said that around Saturday or Sunday, if the swelling goes down and the tape gets wrinkly, I should remove it by myself at home.ㅎㅎ Eek.. I was supposed to go see a performance with my older sister on Friday, what do I do.ㅠㅠ I made plans because I thought the tape would be removed today..ㅠㅠ Still, I went to sleep hoping that when I woke up Friday, my face might suddenly have shrunk and the tape might become wrinkly. +4 days, Friday When I woke up in the morning, there was some full moon.. On day +1, I got a swelling injection and the swelling went down so suddenly that I was surprised by how little swelling there was.. but that state hasn’t improved and seems to just be continuing.ㅠㅠ It still seems exactly like the evening of day +1..ㅠㅠ Back then I thought it would go down a lot by Friday, so I even made plans.. Now my older sister isn’t the issue; I can’t affect the surgery, so I don’t think I can remove the tape.. But if I cancel the performance plans, I’d feel so sorry.. so while wondering what to do.. I went to the hospital and got laser treatment, thinking it might help even a little. Again, my lips felt numb and tingly.. It feels like sensation is returning, so that’s good.. But my face size is the same.ㅠㅠㅠ I was lying down with my eyes covered, receiving laser treatment, and the nurse said, “After this is over, I’ll remove the tape for you!” so I got hopeful, but.. Oh my.. you’re someone else.. she said she had mistaken me;;; (What the.ㅠ) Even by evening, my face size was the same, but.. because I wanted to go out.. in that state, I tilted my head backward and struggled to wash my hair, let my hair down, chose a thick turtleneck sweater to wear, pulled up the turtleneck part to cover the chin tape.. (I’m not a masked robber or anything..ㅠ) and went to the venue. Fortunately, my older sister came after they turned off the lights and it got dark at the start of the performance, and casually said, “Did you catch a cold?” and just let it pass.ㅎㅎ Thankfully there was no intermission during the performance either. My older sister was also tired and not in good condition, so she didn’t think anything strange about me.ㅎㅎ When we were going home, my older sister gave me a mini croissant to eat. I was flustered because it wouldn’t fit in my mouthㅎㅎ Still, only 4 days after surgery, I even went out and pulled off the perfect crime.ㅎㅎ My mom and dad said, “You said it was a secret, and you went around like that?” and scolded me, but.ㅎㅎ It was a thrilling Pepero Day.ㅎㅎ Oh right! These days my mouth opens much wider! I can move my upright thumb in and out! So I can take the 3 pills I have to take after meals all at once! ㅎㅎ And! I finally started brushing my teeth! I brush with an electric toothbrush, but the lower teeth are close to the surgical area, so I turn it off and brush carefully, and for the upper teeth and the inside of the teeth, I turn on the electric toothbrush and brush refreshingly with a whirring sound.. Still, the swollen feeling in the flesh inside my lips is uncomfortable;
