I ended up booking the surgery date.... The consultant explained things so calmly and convincingly that I really trusted them. I mentioned the parts I thought were a bit of a complex myself, and both the consultant and the doctor said, 'It is a little like that, but do you really have to do it? I think it's okay not to,' and explained it calmly, so I felt reassured. There was no pushing or pressuring like at other hospitals, which made it comfortable and nice.
