Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Two-jaw surgery

It has already been one month since I had two-jaw surgery, so I am leaving a review. I had orthodontic treatment twice in total, once when I was young and once after becoming an adult, but I did not get the effect of my lower teeth moving behind my upper teeth, and I was always stressed that my jaw looked protruded. I felt I needed not only functional improvement but also external aesthetic improvement, so I eventually decided on two-jaw surgery. Because two-jaw surgery is a major bone surgery, not simply for cosmetic purposes, I wanted to have it done at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic rather than a plastic surgery clinic. Then I learned about EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and ended up having surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin. The hospital system was systematic and well connected with dental care, which made me trust them, and I chose it because I thought the aesthetic aspects would also suit me well. On the first day after two-jaw surgery, there was quite a lot of bleeding, so I was startled, but Director Shin Hee-jin personally came to my hospital room at dawn and drained the blood, which made me feel very reassured. After that, my condition gradually improved, and I was even able to sleep in short stretches. For a few days after surgery, there were discomforts such as the pain-control injection, urinary catheter, and compression bandage, but as each was removed, my body became much more comfortable. From day 4, New Care felt too greasy, so I started drinking soy milk, and at night the facial compression band felt stuffy, so I sometimes took it off when sleeping. From week 1, I took light walks and went to cafes, and I also consistently drank pumpkin tea and used ice packs. I did not have nasal congestion, but my shoulders and lower back hurt because I had to sleep sitting up. In week 3, I started eating soft foods like noodles, ramen, and cold noodles little by little, and the swelling had gone down enough that I could go out without a mask. I still have tooth sensitivity around the right molar area and occasional throbbing that feels like neuralgia, but it is gradually improving. Now that one month has passed, I can open my mouth wide enough to fit three fingers, and I can eat rice or noodles with almost no problem. There were difficult times right after surgery, but as I could visibly see my recovery, I felt much more at ease. Above all, I was truly grateful that Director Shin Hee-jin explained everything carefully before and after surgery and personally took care of me even in an emergency. I would confidently recommend Director Shin Hee-jin of EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, an oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist, to those considering two-jaw surgery. After going through a difficult recovery period, I now truly feel that deciding to have two-jaw surgery was the right choice.

This is a surgery review that seeks a natural yet defined look.
