Hi, I had revision nose surgery this time. I had it on July 4, you know? But the director said they would remove the gauze from my left side after 3 days. When I went to the hospital for dressing, they looked at it and removed the gauze from my left nostril and put packing in. But then they said they would remove that packing and the gauze on the right side after 7 days. Breathing through my mouth is so, so hard, I can’t sleep every day, I’m exhausted, and I feel like I’m going crazy, so I explained my condition through an inquiry, but they refused and said I have to stick to the date because of maintaining the shape of my nose. I was just about to sleep, but suddenly I’m having a panic attack. I’m breathing through my mouth, but it feels like I’m not breathing, I feel suffocated, my heart is racing, and I feel like I’m going to die. What should I do Someone please help me.. I feel like I’m going crazy
모모누 Don’t focus too much on feeling like you can’t breathe. Let’s talk for a bit by going back and forth in the comments.
모모누 [@Momonu] Open the window wide too.
살려줘 [@Momonu] My room is in a state where I can’t open the window right now, so I came to a place with airflow for a bit I have to hold out for 3 more days. Can I make it?
우리집고양이야옹 [@] Yeah yeah!!!! Of course. You’re doing so well!
모모누 [@] Of course.ᐟ.ᐟ I also felt suffocated and stuffy when it was time to sleep, but I put a whole plastic bottle of water by my head, somewhere I could reach just by stretching my arm, and drank from it often. That made it a bit more bearable.
우리집고양이야옹 Pat pat. You’re uncomfortable, so you just had a brief panic! Don’t worry too much. If you feel like you’re going to pass out, try putting a bag over your mouth and breathing in and out.
살려줘 [@MyCatMeow] Is it worse because I had autologous costal cartilage, so I’m wearing an abdominal binder right now too? This never happened before. It was just that my mouth was dry so I couldn’t sleep.
우리집고양이야옹 [@] Yeah, yeah. If your body is uncomfortable and you’re hot, it’s bound to feel worse!
우리집고양이야옹 Everyone, you are eating something and recovering, right? If you don’t eat well, you can become more sensitive to stress than usual. Make sure to get enough carbohydrates.
살려줘 [@MyCatMeow] Since the surgery, I’ve only been eating porridge because my mouth doesn’t open well.
우리집고양이야옹 [@] Drink something like sweet strawberry milk At least if you put it in, you can swallow it. Try spooning it in gently.
모모누 Drink water often, and if possible don’t bundle yourself up too tightly with the blanket either. Keep your body cool and not suffocating, and wear light clothes too.
살려줘 I was only drinking small sips because I was worried that drinking too much water might cause water intoxication or make my mouth even drier.
모모누 [@] You're doing well, let's just hang in there a little longer!
살려줘 [@모모누] Is orange juice okay too?
모모누 [@] Of course, if it doesn't hurt or feel uncomfortable while drinking, you can drink whatever you want.ᐟ (except alcohol)
살려줘 I drank, but even when I try to think about something else, the feeling of pressure just keeps coming back.. Is there another way?
모모누 [@] How about going out for a bit to breathe in some air near your house, or if there's someone you can call right now, just chat with them on the phone.
살려줘 Does breathing through your mouth help too??
모모누 Then just looking at scenery in an open place can make you feel relieved, right.ᐟ.ᐟ
살려줘 It shouldn't be indigestion, right? The only thing I ate was porridge, so for now I’ll try going outside and breathing some fresh air Thanks for helping me even though it’s not your problem
우리집고양이야옹 Pat pat, if you're anxious and stressed, anyone could feel that way
살려줘 [@ourhousecatmeow] I want to sleep right now too, but I'm so tired and suffocated that I can't even sleep.. my life is so pathetic. I feel so sorry for myself.
우리집고양이야옹 [@] Taking a little bit of allergy medicine to make you drowsy is also recommended.
살려줘 [@myhousecatmeow] I just barely calmed down and lay down to doze off, then I jolted awake with a gasp! Even then my heart was racing and I still felt so tight in the chest. Why is this happening

살려줘 [@] Because of the abdominal binder, you wouldn't have digestive issues, right? Until then, I had been drinking lukewarm water, but today I drank some cold water, could that be the reason General anesthesia feels harder than when I had surgery with sleep anesthesia, mentally.

살려줘 [@] They told me to wear a waist binder, is it okay if I loosen it early? I’ve been wearing it the whole time like an idiot

살려줘 [@] I’ve already left a message at the clinic, but right now the most important thing is that keeping the shape of my nose is what matters, and they haven’t even taken the cotton out yet, so will it be okay?

살려줘 [@] Oxygen can? Thanks I put on the abdominal binder for now and I think I feel a bit better
세카이데이치방노히메… You're hanging in there. I think it's because you're having a really hard time both mentally and physically It'll get easier soon. Fighting!!!!!!!!!!(;; )!
살려줘 [@name] Thank you, I went to the hospital today and got a prescription. My throat was swollen.
두리링링 Hang in there, seriously. It's so uncomfortable, and you can't sleep properly at all. I was like that too, so whenever I got up, whether it was dawn, night, or morning, I just went to the playground and rode the swing.. kept breathing through my mouth
살려줘 [@두리링링] I still have to hold out for 3 more days.. they said I have to breathe through my mouth for a whole week It's torture
두리링링 Oh? But after removing the nasal cotton I was able to breathe through my nose, but ah, you still... seem to have cotton inside your nose.. I had the cotton removed from inside my nose the next day after surgery
살려줘 [@DuriRingRing] The doctor said they’re keeping the cotton in for a long time because they’re trying to correct my nostril asymmetry firmly.
두리링링 That sounds rough hang in there, just get through one week!!!! Even one day was hard to breathe through my mouth, so a week would be hell..
oTmTo [@Doolingling] I don't know whether keeping it in for this long will really make things symmetrical, but I had my nose messed up by another clinic before, so I do feel like this doctor is responsible at least.
녜헷 I also had osteotomy, so I had cotton stuffed in my nose for 4 days, and honestly every single day felt like hell On the first day I was even vomiting nonstop because of the anesthesia and couldn't sleep... I really only regretted it day by day. I kept thinking, what kind of luxury and glory am I chasing that I paid money to go through this suffering. What helped me endure it was eating cold food. I got through it by spooning mango smoothie into my mouth, putting an ice pack on my forehead to hold out against the discomfort, and passing the time by watching Netflix and stuff.. Once you hang in there, the day comes when they remove the splint, and then you can breathe properly again!!!! Hang in there a little longer, you can do it...
살려줘 [@nickname] Aigoo, you've really been through a lot. I was also super nauseous after surgery, but my stomach was empty so I didn't actually vomit, just kept retching a lot My days feel like hell too. When I wake up suddenly with a gasp while sleeping, even breathing through my mouth doesn't feel like breathing... I keep dozing off and waking up, and the stress is awful You really went through a lot. I should try to hold on a little longer too.
가후ㅏ단 Ugh, you’re in the exact same situation as me I also had mine taken out the very next day, but because of asymmetry they put the cotton back in. And then they took it out 2 days later.. Right now, if I sleep 2 hours on the 4th day, that counts as sleeping well…. Life is really hard How are you now? Does time go by fast..?
