I don’t know how LASIK or LASEK would be, but with lens implantation, for the first week right after the procedure, your eyes feel gritty and dry, like there are lenses in them. They said the dryness would get better after 6 months... but even now, after 6 months have passed, I’m still struggling with dry eyes. When I wake up, my eyes are so dry that they don’t open well. It feels like my eyelids are stuck together. There’s something called the ring phenomenon, and around early evening I see halos of light in front of my eyes. Because of the lens drainage hole, it’s an unavoidable phenomenon that always occurs. Think carefully, and if possible, I recommend living with your bare eyes or getting LASIK/LASEK instead.
