Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

It has already been 10 months since I improved my protruding jaw after bimaxillary surgery at EU Oral…

When I first decided to have bimaxillary surgery, I really never imagined I would be living such a natural daily life haha. Now I am spending such a satisfying and comfortable time that my preoperative appearance and memories of the discomfort are gradually fading. Actually, ever since I was young, I was always very stressed because of my long lower face and facial shape with my jaw protruding forward. When taking photos, I would unconsciously cover my lower face, and even when I smiled, it felt awkward. On top of that, my upper and lower teeth did not occlude properly, so I had a lot of discomfort every time I chewed food. Because of that, rather than simply for cosmetic purposes, I seriously considered surgery because I wanted to resolve functional problems as well. I was really careful when choosing a hospital. I compared several hospitals, but after I first searched for bimaxillary surgery, the first place that caught my eye was EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The name itself somehow felt trustworthy, and I even thought, maybe it is a hospital with a reason behind it? haha. The more deeply I thought about it, the more the hospital I saw first kept coming to mind, and since I am the type who always values first impressions, I eventually chose EU Oral. Looking back now, I feel that choice was a really good decision. Right after bimaxillary surgery, there was a lot of bleeding and severe swelling, so there were many difficult moments, but the hospital took meticulous care of me and the director always treated me with great attention to detail, so I was able to feel much more at ease. Especially in the early period, when breathing felt stuffy and my cough was severe, each day really felt long, but as time passed, the swelling went down and the pain decreased. As I physically felt myself gradually recovering, I started to feel hopeful. Now I have recovered enough to eat most foods, and I have started exercising again, so there are no restrictions in my daily life. I am satisfied with the appearance-related aspects as well, but functionally, I also feel a great deal of improvement. Chewing food has become much more comfortable, and using my facial muscles feels much more natural than before. Above all, I think the biggest change is that when I meet people or take photos, I no longer feel like I want to hide my face haha. People around me often tell me that my impression has become much softer, and every time I hear that, I think I really did well to have the surgery. Right after surgery, I only thought about the pain and discomfort, but as time passed and I watched myself improve and change more and more, my satisfaction grew. Now I have adapted so naturally that I can hardly remember what I looked like before surgery, and rather, when I see how used to myself I have become, to the point that I wonder, did I really have surgery? I find it fascinating haha. I am still undergoing orthodontic treatment, so there is some discomfort, but I am doing well without any major problems. I believe that if I continue to maintain my health like this and finish orthodontic treatment as well, there will be even better results! Thank you for reading this long review. If there are people who are worrying like I did, I hope this post helps even a little. Thanks to EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, I really feel like my quality of life has changed.
