Today is day 9 after silicone removal and lowering of the septal support graft. When I woke up in the morning, I saw a rice-grain-sized red bump on the nasal tip, right above the columella. Today was the day I was going to the hospital to have the external stitches removed, so I asked why it was like this, and they said it wasn't inflammation; since there is no foreign material and only autologous cartilage, there is no reason for inflammation to occur. They said it may be that the tissue is reacting sensitively because of revision surgery and such, or it could be a pimple forming on the outside, not inside. I had taken antibiotics for a week, but just in case, I got 4 more days' worth. Now it has spread more than in the morning and has become redder. Isn't this an early inflammatory reaction? I lived with silicone in my nose for 14 years, and even 3 months ago, when my nose was built higher, this didn't happen. There was absolutely no redness at the nasal tip. Can autologous cartilage also cause inflammation by any chance? The doctor says that absolutely won't happen.. Or is my nose struggling because I had revision surgery after only 3 months? I'm going crazy. It really is one mountain after another. I really should have taken everything out, but what kind of obstacle is this now.. If anyone knows, please leave a comment. Right now, it hasn't been long since surgery, so my nose is at the stage where there is slight tingling pain, so I don't even know whether this is painful or what.
