I went to the dentist a lot because of my malocclusion, and every place I visited recommended surgery. Since having a somewhat protruding jaw had been a complex of mine for a long time, I decided to get double-jaw surgery. I had seen a lot of posts saying their Google rating was very high and that they were great at consultations, and when I went for a consultation myself, everyone really was extremely kind. They explained all my questions and problems about my teeth very well, so I chose them right away haha Months 1-3 At first, I was a little worried because the swelling was not going down much, but as expected, time was the medicine. I was only worried for a moment, and whenever I looked in the mirror and saw my face getting smaller, it was so fascinating. But I still cannot feel sensation in my face, so I hope only that comes back quickly... Months 4-5 After surgery, for two or three months, the swelling under my chin and around the philtrum did not go down much, so I was a little worried. But every time I looked in the mirror, I could visibly see it going down, and people around me all complimented me, saying my face had gotten so small and they were so jealous!!! I also could not feel sensation in parts of my face, but it is getting much better than last month!! Months 6-7 Since quite some time has passed since surgery, these days I can eat chewy foods like beef jerky, and since I can eat everything, I have gained a little weight...!! I thought the swelling might not go down well, but it looks like it is going down more than expected as the months pass haha. These days, rather than thinking about when the swelling will go down, I only seem to think about getting my braces off!! It is fascinating that my facial fat seems to go down little by little every time I take review photos!! Month 8 Quite a bit of time has passed since surgery. I have no problems at all with daily life, and there is nothing that bothers me! I am still not doing intense exercise? Things like that, but other than that, I have no problems at all in daily life! In the early stage after surgery, I had a lot of swelling, so people I knew teased me and called me Dooly. But now that almost all the swelling has gone down, I feel like I have heard countless times from people around me that my face looks so much better, the surgery went really well, and that I became handsome. It makes me praise my own eye for choosing to get double-jaw surgery at Yiyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Month 9 Now, with the hospital’s permission, I am doing quite a few types of intense exercise, and I am just living so comfortably that I forget I even had surgery... If there is exactly one thing that changed from before surgery, it is what I hear from people around me haha. I often hear that the surgery went so well and that I became handsome haha. Every time I hear that, it always makes me feel good!! As for eating, I still cannot really eat things like bones, but I can eat everything, and I will be getting my braces off soon, so I hope time passes quickly!! Month 10 My facial fat has gone down so much, and it feels like there is no swelling anymore.. People around me always compliment me, saying my face has gotten so small, to the point that they even ask which hospital I had double-jaw surgery at!! I feel like the surgery went so well, so it is embarrassing, but I am happy and feel good haha. Right now, I am living so comfortably that there is no difference between before and after surgery!! Because of my braces, I still cannot really eat hard foods or foods that need to be chewed for a long time, but other than that, zero discomfort! Month 11 It has already almost been a year since surgery...! I have been doing so well after surgery all this time, and my facial contour has become much prettier, so I always feel good.. I will be getting my braces off soon, and the swelling is basically at a level where there is none at all!! I am always careful with chewing, but sometimes when I eat hard? foods, I can eat them well without any issues!!
