Autologous Costal Cartilage Calcification

If it’s calcified too much, it’ll probably be the same even if you go somewhere else… This is why I don’t think it’s always right to save autologous costal cartilage no matter what. You should use it when you can. The older you are, the higher the chance of calcification, but I heard more and more young people are getting calcification too. If it’s not possible, then I guess you have to go somewhere that uses donated costal cartilage in the best possible condition

[@Lalaby] I guess so.. I kept putting it off for years, saying I should do it, I should do it, and wow, I didn’t think I’d get calcification in my late 20s! If anyone reading this is debating, I hope you do it right away.. You’ll end up missing out on good material like me..

[@모카설탕] I used autologous costal cartilage ㅠㅜㅠ With donated costal cartilage, the quality issue makes it difficult if you’re sensitive about that. I think you have no choice but to go around for consultations and choose a place that feels right and has decent reviews ㅠ

Uh, but it would probably be better not to do it.. When I went to ㄹㅂㄹ and ㅈㅅ, both said they don’t do it if there’s calcification. It seems like multiple clinics say that, so they probably don’t advise against it for no reason

If donated costal cartilage gets partial calcification, can’t they remove it and operate with autologous costal cartilage...? ㅜ
