Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

After double jaw surgery, when does the lip curling go away? 2 month update >_<

It has already been two months since my surgery, so I came to leave a 2-month update. I had double jaw surgery and contouring surgery with Dr. Shin Hee-jin at [Clinic A], and now the things I worried about in the beginning are improving one by one, so I am getting through daily life without much inconvenience~ My complexes had long been that my face looked long and that a lot of gum showed when I smiled. So I had been thinking about double jaw surgery for a while, but because it is such a major operation, I could not decide easily. Then, after getting a proper consultation this time, I heard a detailed explanation about my face and bite, and that was when I decided to go ahead with surgery. When I was looking for a hospital, I had a lot of trouble choosing between a general plastic surgery clinic and an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, but since double jaw surgery is a major operation that deals with both facial bones and bite, I felt it would be more reassuring to have it done by a specialist with strong experience at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, and I also looked up a lot of before-and-after photos. While reading reviews of [Clinic A], I could compare before-and-after photos of people who had the same concerns I did, like a long face or gum showing when smiling, so that really helped me decide on the hospital! Also, since I am a college student, I had to think realistically about cost, but I did not want to choose a hospital based on price alone! When I looked at the surgeon's experience, the hospital facilities, and the system as a whole, I felt the overall conditions were good within the budget I had in mind, and I think that also played a big part in my choosing [Clinic A] haha!! Right after double jaw surgery, I had a feeling that my lips were curling, so at first I was a little worried But after the wafer was removed, that lip curling went away too, and the tight, pulling feeling in my jaw in the early stage became much more comfortable as time passed!! More than anything, I feel like sensation in my jaw has now come back to about 90% haha Even when I had no sensation, I had heard enough explanation from the doctor before surgery and decided based on that, so I did not spend much time worrying about it, so I do not know exactly when it started returning, but it definitely seems to have improved since the wafer was removed! haha Now I am waiting for the inside of my mouth to recover a little more. It is not seriously uncomfortable, but there is still a tight feeling inside my mouth, so every morning I lightly loosen the muscles around my mouth haha There were a lot of things I was paying attention to right after surgery, but now that it is the 2-month mark, I can feel one thing after another getting better, so I am planning to wait slowly for the remaining changes too, and I will come back with another update about that part! Thank you for reading
