First revision rhinoplasty. About 2-3 years after my first surgery, my nasal tip gradually got lower, and it became a nose where the tip looked pressed down even from far away, no matter who looked at it. After getting paranasal augmentation, it looked even lower, so I decided this would not do and had revision surgery. I liked how I looked from the front, so I did not want to stray too far from my current image. I chose ㄱㅇ Plastic Surgery, which was cheaper, between ㅇㅈ and ㄱㅇ Plastic Surgery, both located in Apgujeong and known for pursuing a natural look. The director also said he would perform the surgery in a way that only improves the nasal tip from the side profile while keeping my current image. During my first rhinoplasty, ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and mesh were used, and he said he would change only the silicone to Gore-Tex and use the remaining autologous materials for the surgery. He said that if there was not enough material, he might additionally use AlloDerm or mesh. <Day of surgery> After arriving at the hospital, Dr. Heo Jin-won took photos of me with a digital camera. Consultation with the director. Stored my belongings. Changed clothes, gargled, and washed my face. Entered the operating room. Got an antibiotic injection in my buttock (hurt like crazy. Even after surgery, my butt hurt more than my nose). Lay down on the operating table. They covered my whole body with green surgical drapes. They disinfected my entire face with Hexadine. They carefully disinfected my entire nose, including inside the nostrils, with povidone 3 times each. Got an IV injection in my left arm. Dr. Heo Jin-won came in. After greeting me, they administered anesthetic (midazolam 1.5 mg), then an additional 0.5 mg (not sure about the exact dose). After the anesthetic, far from getting sleepy, I was completely alert when the surgery started. I felt like I was screwed. While talking with Dr. Heo Jin-won, I got 4 local anesthesia injections in my nose. It seriously hurt so damn much I could not even scream. After that, I underwent nose surgery fully conscious for 50 minutes. It was scary, but it did not hurt. After recovering in the recovery room bed, Dr. Heo Jin-won checked my nose one last time and said the surgery went well, so I went home. My nose was throbbing, but it did not hurt. It was surprising that it did not hurt even on the day of surgery. Because of the splint, I do not know the result yet, but I am satisfied that my nasal tip is higher.
