It has been exactly 1 month and 1 week. I had hump nose rhinoplasty with ear cartilage in the nasal tip and 2 mm silicone in the nasal bridge. But 1 week after surgery, when the bandage was removed, my nasal tip hurt like crazy. I think it hurt for about 2 to 3 weeks. Now the nasal tip doesn’t hurt, but the nasal bridge hurts. 3 days ago my nasal tip became slightly red, so I was startled. About 1 hour after the nasal tip turned red, my nasal bridge started hurting. My nasal bridge really hurts so much that I can’t function... It’s not only the nasal bridge that hurts; my philtrum, glabella, forehead, temples, whole head, and even the back of my neck hurt, so I feel like I’m going to become depressed. It hurts so much I feel like I’m going crazy. I can’t even sleep... It really throbs... hurts... There is no redness on the nasal bridge. But I don’t know if it’s because I’m sensitive... there is a slight groove in the glabella area --- like this between the eyes. You can’t tell by looking, but when I touch it, I can slightly feel that it is indented. It’s not severe, but if I touch it very carefully, it feels that way. It doesn’t hurt that much when I touch it directly. It’s just uncomfortable. I don’t know if it’s because of rhinitis, but I also have a stuffy feeling inside my nose. My nose is not completely blocked, but it’s to the point that I keep noticing the inside of my nose..?? The pain is really so severe that I’m asking... I went to the doctor who operated on me today, but he only said there is absolutely nothing wrong externally..ㅜㅜ He said the inside of my nose is clean too.. I really feel like I’m going crazy. My nose hurts this much, but he says it isn’t a symptom of inflammation... He said if it were a foreign-body reaction, the whole silicone area would turn red and swell, but I don’t have those symptoms either... He says the swelling went down really quickly and the shape of my nose has stabilized, but honestly he says a patient like me is a first for him.... I mean, what does it matter if the outside looks fine when inside it hurts so much I want to pull my nose out right away ㅜㅜㅜ He said all I can do is wait and sent me home, but he didn’t even prescribe medication. He said unexplained pain after surgery is not his medical opinion... He said to wait 6 months to 1 year, and if it still truly hurts then, removal would be the only option.. I was really shocked. The patient is complaining that it hurts to death, and the attending doctor says 6 months...? It’s hard to endure even one day, but 6 months... Does that make sense? He said he only pays attention to inflammatory symptoms, and for other symptoms, most patients get better over time, so he doesn’t worry about them. What is this.....?? He says there is nothing he can do about the pain the patient feels? And when I said I wanted to remove the implant right away, he said, “Then it won’t harmonize with the nasal tip and won’t look pretty?!” When I said I wanted to remove it and get filler, he said filler is more dangerous.. Ah... I don’t know. Honestly, I can’t trust the doctor who operated on me anymore... When I look elsewhere, even if there is a small abnormality, they prescribe antibiotics just in case, and some even give injections.. But he didn’t do any of that, and except for the Tylenol and 5 days of antibiotics prescribed right after surgery, there has been no painkiller either... That Tylenol didn’t work at all, so I bought anti-inflammatory painkillers myself and took them; If I only listen to my attending doctor, I feel so frustrated I might go even crazier.. So I’m thinking of going to the plastic surgery department at a university hospital. What do you think... And if it hurts this much for no reason, is removing the implant the only method??
