Last year, I had septal surgery and surgery for a hump and crooked nose at a plastic surgery ENT clinic. They did osteotomy, inserted 2 mm of silicone, and used septal cartilage for the nose tip. About a year later, inflammation developed, so this spring I removed only the silicone and left the septal cartilage at the tip. But because a capsule remained, my nose did not look low. The doctor said that if the silicone is removed, the bridge will collapse and only the tip may remain high, which could look odd. After the silicone was removed, I really liked the shape, but about 5 months later the bridge seems to have lowered a little. If it gets any lower, I think it may no longer harmonize with the nose tip. For those who had silicone removed, until when does the nose usually keep settling lower? I’m curious how long it took for the nose shape to become fully stable.
