It’s now been 3 weeks since my rhinoplasty, and there’s a step-off on the bridge of my nose, so I can see a depression.. Right after the splint was removed, my nasal tip was lifted, so the step-off was already there. The doctor said they did a lot of cartilage reinforcement, but judging by how the swelling is going down, it seems like a step-off may form, so let’s think about getting aftercare revision after 6 months. I never thought I’d open up my nose again, but having to waste time and look into all this again is such a headacheㅠ.. If it’s cartilage reinforcement, I want to do it closed, but that probably won’t be possible.. haaaa But if I get aftercare revision after 6 months, that’s revision rhinoplasty, right? Is it more dangerous..? I’d be grateful if anyone who has gotten aftercare revision could share their story in the comments...^^...ㅠ
하루15 You’re so nice .. If it were me, I think I would’ve made a huge fuss. The swelling hasn’t even gone down, but revision surgeryㅠ
tomatosyd Aftercare revision is still revision surgery... Did you happen to do it closed the first time?

루로 Everyone, I’m in this kind of situation too.. Did the hospital explain how they would do the aftercare revision?? For me, that bridge area feels hard, like silicone, so I’m wondering whether lowering the silicone height would be enough, or whether they only do cartilage reinforcement in the area with the step-off.. Personally, I want to lower the silicone heightㅠㅠ
rlfam2 [@] Mine is implant-free, so silicone wasn’t usedㅠㅠ.. I don’t know what everyone here’s nose looks like, so I can’t really say about that part,, The aftercare revision criteria seem different at every hospital, and the method and extra costs all seem different too..! For me, we did talk about cartilage reinforcement in the step-off area, but I still need to keep watching it.

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
