Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I Had It Removed Today~ (Photos Deleted)

First of all, my nose feels so comfortable. Shape or whatever aside. Thankfully, it wasn’t Silitex, it was silicone. The removal ended quickly and easily. Right now my nose stings. Because it was cut open. But it’s a different kind of pain from the dull, heavy ache I had when the silicone was in. Before the removal surgery, I sobbed. I told the nurses, “My face is ugly. My face got better after I did my nose. Sob sob.” So the nurses and doctor couldn’t leave work and waited about 30 minutes for me. I’m so grateful. I had it removed under sedation anesthesia through a closed approach, and my nose feels light, so I feel good. I had silicone in for 20 years, but they said that immediately after removal, the shape looked good without nasal upturning. Right now it’s taped all the way to the nasal tip, so I don’t know what my face looks like. I didn’t become as ugly as I expected, and my husband also told me I did well getting it removed. They said the taping comes off in five days, and I’m also prepared for things like wound contraction. I could end up with scar tissue and a bulbous nose, right? But I feel relieved because a weight has been lifted from my mind. I don’t think I became as ugly as I imagined. And they told me to press firmly on the glabella with a towel. For about 3 days. The silicone was thinner than I thought. About 4-5 mm? I thought it would be over 6 mm. It also seems like there is a capsule. The bridge of my nose feels hard. Since I kept saying I originally had no nasal bridge at all, after removal the nurses said my bridge wasn’t that low, so I wonder if that might be because of the capsule. I didn’t remove the ear cartilage. For now, I think I made the right decision to remove it. I may be shocked when the taping comes off, but I feel confident that I can try to adapt well. People are strange; when the silicone was in, I couldn’t remember my old face, but now I’m starting to not remember my face with the silicone. I also received a lot of help here, so I’m posting in case it helps someone else. I’m on my phone, so please understand any typos.
