In September last year, I had a septal cartilage support strut, a little septal cartilage placed at the nasal tip, and AlloDerm on the nasal bridge through an open approach. As the AlloDerm was absorbed, the nasal bridge became uneven, so in April this year I had the AlloDerm trimmed through an open approach. (I asked them to remove it, but they told me to trim it first and then decide.) The problem is that after the septal cartilage support strut, my nose got longer, the columella protruded, and the nose looks pinched.. My nose got bigger.ㅠ For complete removal, I sent messages to people who had posted in a community and looked into all the hospitals. I looked into about 6 hospitals, and without exception, the prices varied widely. Four hospitals said they would not do revision surgery. (These were hospitals I found out through messages, and I guess once AlloDerm and septal cartilage have been used, it’s a bit difficult.) When I went for consultations, 5 places told me to go back to the hospital where I originally had it done.. And when they saw my open-surgery scar, 3 hospitals got angry, saying who does surgery like this nowadays. But then all they said was that my nose doesn’t look completely bad, so I should just live with itㅠ So in the end, I went back to the hospital where I had it done and asked them to remove it, but they kept trying not to do it, saying there was nothing wrong with my nose. At other hospitals, I only heard people ask why my nose shape had been made like this. When I mentioned the open-surgery scar, they said it would get better with time, but other hospitals only told me there was no possibility it would improve.. In the end, they said they would remove it, but that I would lose a lot, and asked if I really had to do it. Other hospitals also said that since it’s not that strange, I would lose a lot if I removed it.. Is not removing it really the answer? I’m worried my nostrils will turn upward if I remove it. I didn’t have inflammation, but I’m scared they’ll lift mercilessly during the contraction phaseㅠㅠ But the funny thing is, the hospital that said they would remove it says they’ll do it for free. If that was the case, when I had revision surgery in April and asked for complete removal, they told me to just trim it and opened me up. My nose didn’t improve, and I got an open-surgery scar as a bonus. Now they say they’ll remove it, but they’re just scaring me. Seriously ㅠㅠ Will it be okay even if I remove it?
