Facial Surgery Reviews@face-review

Cheekbone surgery, day 30.

For my nose, I had the nasal bridge and nasal tip done naturally, with the nasal tip tied to look high and refined, and the nasal alae also adjusted. For the cheekbones, I had arch wire fixation, and the side and 45-degree cheekbones were worked on. I do not know how much bleeding there was, but since I am a man, the swelling was a bit severe. But this was very normal, and the progress was very good (no different from an average person). For anyone planning facial contouring surgery who is curious about when they can return to daily life, I made a table for reference. At minimum, 20 days, a little over half a month, would be better. Before that, the mouth protrudes a little, and even if the puffy cheeks have already gone down, there is still the under-chin fat and so on. To look really natural, you need to wait about a month or more afterward. At around 25 days, there is almost nothing abnormal. I started going outside after day 10. With a scarf + hat, it may have been a little noticeable, but I still just walked around a bit. Pumpkin juice seems to have helped a lot. Did I drink about 150 packs? For 20 days, I think I drank about 10 per day on average. I still wear the compression band, and I mostly stayed at home. I was careful even when walking, and I also took walks for about an hour a day. I am a bit timid, so I think I really took good care of myself. I slept sitting up for about 3 days, but doing it for about 5 days would not be bad either, though it was too hard. After that, I slept with my pillow raised. The most important thing is that the rapid swelling reduction after waking up happens from day 5 to day 15. From day 15, it does not go down dramatically enough that it feels a bit frustrating, but by day 30 a lot of the residual swelling has gone down, though it still seems like there is a long way to go. Bruising around the nose definitely disappeared completely by around day 11, and you do not really need to do things like egg massages. You can do ice packs for 1 week, 5 days is also fine, and after that there was nothing to do because there was no heat either. From around day 20, when you wake up, the swelling actually comes up in reverse. Then it goes down. I am talking about swelling after waking up. Of course, overall the swelling gradually goes down. So at this time, if you have plans or need to go out, you will need at least 2 to 3 hours after waking up before you can leave. And there will still be some lower jaw fat and cheek fat. Of course you cannot open your mouth well, and now I can open it a bit more. I completely avoided chewing and drank things. When I really had to chew, I chewed lightly with my front teeth. To help the bones settle well, I lightly touched the contouring area while wearing the compression band. Currently, my face, which used to be wide from the side, has become slimmer and has a more masculine contour, so I have no regrets. If I were born again with the same round and broad face as before, I would without regret get it worked on again, because it is a gift from science lol From day 28, the day before yesterday, almost all of it went down, and it definitely went down rapidly again from days 25 to 28. Now only residual swelling remains. Still, there is some left. I was scared of sagging jowls and things like that, but it was just swelling moving downward, and now it is gone. Even when I had the bandage removed one day after surgery, there were no jowls. The uncomfortable things after surgery are chewing, not being able to open my mouth so I cannot yawn properly, smiling awkwardly, and I quit smoking completely. The hardest thing after surgery was quitting smoking. It is still impressive to me that I have not smoked even once.. I had been smoking for 2 years. Holding back from alcohol too.. It was the first time I felt I was really strong-willed. I also had a lot of smoking dreams.. I want to quit for good because of this, but honestly.. it is still hard. There are many uncomfortable things with the nose too, but if you apply ointment with cotton swabs often, it is not a big deal. Cheekbone surgery causes direct inconveniences in daily life that are not exactly disabilities but feel like them. Please be careful. They say to drink a lot of water, but even if I did not drink a lot of water, it was actually fine. If anything, drinking it seemed like it would make me swell. That was obvious even without seeing it. I realized firsthand that it is good to take soy milk, vitamins (started eating them from about 2 weeks afterward; before that, vitamin water), milk, and things like that. They say not to eat a lot of salty foods, but it was fine. From 2 weeks on, I ate a lot of ramen, of course crushed up. It is easier than rice because you do not have to chew as much, and even if you eat rice, you have to mix it into soup, so what goes in seems about the same. Honestly, ramen or mushroom soup seems better. I sometimes mix rice into soup too. For 20 years, I had only slept on my side, so now sleeping face-up was really hard. The hardest things after cheekbone surgery were eating and looking straight ahead. As for swelling, the worst five days pass quickly. Pain was minimal, but painkillers. (I have taken exactly one pill so far, on day 2. The pain was so little that I really did not need them. Some people said it was tolerable pain, but because they gave me the pain-control injection properly, I really did not feel anything at all, even after waking up. I was not dizzy either; it felt like maybe 2 weeks after being hit.) The doctor said it is good to wear the compression band for 1 month, but wearing it up to 3 months is better. They told me not to wear it when sleeping, but I wore it even while sleeping for 20 days, almost 24 hours a day, and these days I wear it within 18 hours. I will continue until 3 months. I am not exercising either, so there is a lot I am sacrificing lol But what can I do? For people like us who care a lot about appearance, it is a blessing ; lol Oh, I had slightly reduced sensation under the right cheekbone and under the eye when touching it, a somewhat numb feeling, but from day 28 I think 80 to 90 percent has come back. The stitches inside my mouth seem to have dissolved too. For reference, even if your head is slightly large, or even if it is not, because the side cheekbone looks three-dimensionally in a straight line with the forehead ridge? near the temple area, the head shape can feel relatively larger from the front, so I think you need to understand that point. For women, wearing your hair up may look good, and I style my hair up or let it down. I feel like I really do not need side hair anymore, and now I can grow my hair neatly too.
