<Before surgery><Before surgery><After surgery><After surgery><Reason> I was a high school student living in Jeju I wanted braces, so I went to a dental clinic I had a protruding lower jaw, so my bite did not align, and I had facial asymmetry Honestly, I went to the dental clinic thinking I would only get orthodontic treatment because I wanted to be able to chew noodles a bit with my front teeth But they said I needed surgery The surgery was done at an affiliated hospital Honestly, it was a decent dental clinic in Jeju, so I trusted them for now and did presurgical orthodontics for 1 year (postsurgical orthodontics also took almost half a year) <Hospital explanation> And I had surgery in the winter when I was 20 It was both a dental clinic and an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, so I trusted them and just did it (Now that I think about it, I am genuinely relieved that the hospital I went to without much thought happened to be good) There are 2 directors at the hospital, and it seems like they consistently perform surgeries There were seriously so many people who had double jaw surgery just like me. There were a reasonable number of staff and many patients too (About 2 directors, 3 reception staff, 4 people who check teeth, 4 nurses, etc.) Both directors looked to be in their 40s or older, so it seemed like exactly the prime time to make money (high demand, and they are both good at surgery) <Cost> If you only do double jaw surgery, 13 million won? But they keep checking you after surgery (they said they would see me at 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year ••• up to 10 years) Travel costs + New Care + medication + pin removal surgery = 5 million won? (I kept going back and forth by plane) I think you can consider it almost 20 million won I should treat my parents well <Surgery type> I heard there were 2 methods, and among them I had the SSRO surgical method They say protruding lower jaw cases are usually done with the SSRO method It is a type of surgery where they cut around the upper and lower front teeth area Since it was double jaw surgery, pins were placed in both the upper jaw and lower jaw They also removed 2 upper wisdom teeth during the surgery The surgical method is decided by the director after seeing the patient And things like whether to do the cheekbones too, or only the jaw, are decided by us after looking at the cost I wanted to do the chin tip too, but the director said I probably did not need it, so I did not do it <Just what I felt> I had surgery at the same hospital and with the same method as a YouTuber Honestly, because of the anesthesia, it did not hurt at all Not being able to eat rice for a month was a bit upsetting, and I only disliked things like taking bitter medicine Even if I were told to do it again, I think I would. No? I probably would have done my cheekbones too My lower jaw became seriously much smaller I keep thinking x100 that it really would have been even better if I had done my cheekbones too As for alcohol, once it had been 3 months after surgery, I just drank freely And before jaw surgery, even when it was over 30 degrees, I absolutely never tied my hair up.. Even when my mom told me to tie it up, I absolutely would not, and I lived with heat rash on my neck. But now I just tie it up and go around. Good <Reactions around me> Because it was a protruding lower jaw + asymmetry, I just told people around me that I had premolar extraction orthodontics and corrected it that way I have never told them at all that I had surgery Everyone honestly seems to have no particular thoughts about it My parents' acquaintances just said, "You got prettier, as expected, you have to go to college," and that was it Since it was surgery done inside the mouth in the first place, there was no bruising, no scar at all on my face, only swelling, and that was it <Side effects> Compared to others, it is not even at the level of side effects, but I will mention the uncomfortable things The gum tissue behind my front teeth is slightly swollen It hurts slightly when I eat fried food I do not know if it is because of the surgery, but even if I take arginine, my body does not respond Or I am a bit tired these days (maybe I am just tired lately) <Photo explanation> I cropped all the photos, so it may be hard to see clearly, but What is the point of orthodontic treatment? Your impression changes just from your dentition.. For me, since my jaw + dentition changed, it feels like I became a different person Some may ask how that is after surgery, but I live satisfied that I went from abnormal to normal I also think maybe not having much greed from the start was the secret to success If you leave comments, I will answer diligently Sympathy emoticon Translating #doublejawsurgery #doublejaw #orthodontics Would you like to save this review? +0 This review is a surgery review pursuing natural beauty.
