<This is a nose that was diagnosed with contracture at another hospital after revision surgery><I had my third revision surgery in early April, feeling like it was truly my last chance>(First surgery in 2019 – silicone, ear cartilage, septal cartilage) (Revision surgery in 2023 - silicone, ear cartilage, donated costal cartilage) My nose didn’t come out in the shape I wanted after the first surgery, so I ended up having revision surgery 4 years later on a nose that had been perfectly fine It was okay for up to a year, but then my nose gradually started getting red and feeling tight and hard The swelling had already all gone down, so at first I just endured it while taking antibiotics, but enduring it wasn’t going to make it get better When I had time, I went to another hospital to check the condition of my nose and got a CT scan, and then I was diagnosed with >>contracture<<? lolol They kept pressuring me to have surgery quickly, saying the silicone had come down and they didn’t know when it might break through, so I got scared and looked into revision surgery almost in tears... lol.. lolol... Thinking about it now, I think I was so naive for acting like that just based on what they said I thought it would be right to go somewhere else too, so I went to one more place, and there they said it wasn’t progressing contracture?? Why do hospitals all say different things;; When I insisted, the second place I went for consultation explained the CT scan to me one by one, and the conclusion was that it wasn’t contracture;;;;; Seriously, when I thought about the place that previously said it was contracture being obsessed with money and messing with me, I got so angry, and I was embarrassed that I had been anxiously contacting them for several days. They must have thought I was so ridiculous Still, for now, I was relieved because they said it wasn’t contracture, but there really had been a problem before, so I wanted to hurry with revision surgery and had the revision done at the second place I consulted Autologous costal cartilage is used a lot, but I felt burdened by autologous costal cartilage, so the director and I decided to use 2 pieces of donated costal cartilage to make the support more solid, and I also checked whether they would use them as whole pieces When I looked into it for this surgery, I heard that sometimes one piece of donated costal cartilage is divided and used on several people, so make sure you all check this too when you go for consultations Maybe because it was my third surgery, my bulbous nose improved well too, and even though it’s implant-free, it looks okay from the front, so I feel relieved, but I’m still worried about what if it changes again a few years later Still, the more I think negative thoughts, the more it only wears down my mood, so I’m going to try to build up stronger mental resilience While going around for consultations, I never saw a place that consulted while editing the nose in Photoshop, but this place did After surgery, the line came out just like the edited version too, so that was kind of fascinating Now that the problem is gone, I want to live while enjoying myself a bit too
