Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Daily life after nasal implant removal

Hello? I had surgery 2 years ago with nasal silicone (3 mm) + ear cartilage for the nasal tip. My nose shape was originally like △, and the nasal tip was rounded, so when I smiled, it gave the impression of spreading out even more. My nose was also on the larger side.

I had the surgery and had been living very satisfied with it, but maybe because the skin on my nasal dorsum is thin, a few days ago the bridge of my nose started turning bluish. I think it’s a side effect, and since I’ve been living with a lot of psychological anxiety after having the surgery, I’m thinking about just removing it. Personally, I’d like to leave the ear cartilage in the nasal tip as it is. My nasal tip was originally very blunt and bulbous...

The questions I’d like to ask are: 1. Since I work at a company, I can take up to 4 days off including the weekend. Can taping or a splint be removed quickly, unlike with silicone insertion surgery? Does it differ by hospital?

2. Since it’s just removing the silicone, aside from being careful with water for a week or two, would exercise or daily life be possible right away?

I have a lot on my mind in many ways... I’d appreciate it if you could leave an answer...
