It has been 2 years... I’m suffering from a stuffy inside of my nose and more frequent rhinitis symptoms. Before, I wasn’t confident about side-profile photos, so I didn’t look at them and mainly looked at front-view photos, but now it’s the opposite. I hate how I look in photos other than my side profile so much that I’m even afraid to take front-view photos.
After the surgical splint was removed, I found out that the director had placed ground bone on the nasal tip as he pleased, making the tip too large and asymmetric. He said we should do revision surgery after 1 year, but I was busy and couldn’t go, and I revisited a little before it had been 2 years. He quoted a revision surgery fee much higher than what I paid for the original surgery, even more expensive than the usual price for a standard hump nose surgery in Apgujeong~ I tried to be nice and spoke kindly and calmly, but it was ridiculous, like he was taking me lightly~ And now he says we should make the nasal tip slimmer with septal cartilage... If he knew it would droop anyway, he shouldn’t have put anything in. I hated it so much...
Before surgery, I clearly asked for nasal tip cartilage tying because they said it could prevent possible drooping, and since my nasal tip was large and I was afraid it would become a bulbous nose, I asked them not to place anything on it... After surgery, while disinfecting, the director said he had placed the ground-down hump bone on the nasal tip. When I asked why he did that, he said it was because he was afraid it would droop...
Now the director who performed the surgery doesn’t even mention that the nasal bridge osteotomy was done incorrectly, and says the crookedness could have happened because I touched my nose...(It was originally a little crooked, but not enough to be noticeable. Then are all people whose noses became crooked after osteotomy crooked because they touched them...) He just keeps making excuses, saying the nasal tip was originally asymmetric and that he had told me in advance it would droop (but then he said he put bone in because he was afraid it would droop...ㅠㅠ) Since it was the clinic that performed the surgery, I thought I might at least be able to get removal at a low price, so I didn’t get angry and left saying I would think about it.
Because the nasal bridge was over-osteotomized, there is almost no bridge left in the middle~ My image looks weak and cheap. The bridge doesn’t come down straight; it comes down too thinly and then suddenly only the nasal tip sticks out by itself. It has become blunt, and at 1 year the nasal tip at least drooped less, but now that it has been 2 years, the nose looks even more drooped than before surgery, like a hooked nose. For the cartilage tying, the right side of my tip was already, if you looked closely, slightly raised to a degree that wasn’t noticeable, but that side ended up going up even more...
People say the hump on the side was shaved well, but the nasal tip looks large and droopy even from the side. They say that if before I looked like Gargamel, now I look like I have a bulbous nose... They also say my front-facing face looked much better before, when the nose was high and the nasal bridge held the center well~ They say the bridge is thin but the nasal tip looks too large and droopy, ruining my impression...ㅠㅠ People who see me after a long time often say something looks strange... The harmony of my face is broken. My face looks unnatural~~ Even my face looks distorted... It’s obvious I had nose surgery... In short, a face that became uglier in an obvious-but-not-obvious way... even though I took off my braces....
What I’m most curious about now is:
1. I want the nasal bridge to have more thickness than it does now (like ordinary people...) and to come straight down from the glabella to the philtrum... The slope angles are also different. On the left, the area connected to the glabella is a gentle mountain,
and on the right it is a steep mountain... Below that it’s bumpy.... There are depressions here and there like valleys in a mountain.
I hope it’s possible, but would that mean I need another osteotomy?
On the X-ray, even before surgery, if you looked closely, the nasal bones were slightly crooked, but still they came straight down along the central line from the glabella and philtrum area. After surgery, you can clearly see the nasal bones are crooked in an S-shape~ The upper right part is pressed in....
2. It has almost been 2 years. Can the tied cartilage and the bone fragment placed on the nasal tip be removed? It looks blunt and bulbous and gives me a mean impression.
3. And it was originally closed rhinoplasty, but can the revision I want above also be done closed...
