These days are so hard.. one after another. I thought these things would absolutely never happen to me.. but suffering from side effects and emotional distress.. it’s no joke. For reference, no matter which plastic surgery clinic I went to, they said my nose shape was pretty and that it would turn out well. It was a basic nose. I had a complex because the height was low, so I decided on surgery. I had surgery on May 10. Silicone 3.5 + tying the alar cartilages at the nasal tip On days 3–4 it throbbed, and I thought it was just swelling that would pass. On day 7, after removing the taping, the swelling between my eyebrows looked like Avatar, but they said it was absolutely not inflammation and told me not to worry. Oh, for reference, that day they mistook me for a filler patient. When I said the swelling between my eyebrows wasn’t going down, they said it was because of filler. I said, filler?????? I had surgery?? Then from behind, the manager said, Ah, doctor, maybe you confused her with a filler patient.. she’s a surgical patient.. It seemed to go down a little, but on day 9 it throbbed again and the area between my eyebrows swelled up, so I ran straight to the hospital. They said it was absolutely not inflammation, told me not to worry, and said it was a blood collection. They drained the blood. They drained 3 mm, and after a little clear fluid came out, blood came out. Nothing like pus came out, and there was no strange smell from my nose at all. After checking the drained blood, they said only blood came out, so it was absolutely not inflammation. They told me not to worry and prescribed antibiotics for another 5 days. On May 22, I went for follow-up. After draining the blood, the swelling had gone down a little, but the swelling between my eyebrows was still severe. I asked the doctor, Why is the swelling between my eyebrows not going down like this? And he said, Ah~ that’s because of the injection. I said, What??? Injection?? The injection from drawing blood last time?? I asked back, and he answered, yes, yes~. From then on, it felt a little strange. Mistaking me for a filler patient, and twice at that. Does that even make sense.. I started getting anxious, wondering if they really put in silicone and also injected filler inside, causing inflammation.. On 5/23, it throbbed again. On the 24th, I ran to the hospital. They said it was absolutely not inflammation and told me not to worry.. His firm words calmed me somewhat, but I cried so much. That day, they said the blood had clotted and hardened, so they couldn’t draw the blood with a syringe. They said it was clotted blood, so it would improve during the process of the swelling going down and told me not to worry. Antibiotics were prescribed again. Over the weekend, the swelling became even more swollen. On the morning of the 27th, as soon as they opened, I ran to the hospital. After seeing my nose, he said the blood had clotted hard like coagulated blood. He said if they opened the nose, scraped out the coagulated-blood-like clot, washed the silicone, and put it back in, there would be no problem. He said it was absolutely not inflammation and told me not to worry.. I believed him. The surgery was done under local anesthesia, so I could feel all the pain, and it hurt so much I thought I would die. When I said it hurt because it was so painful, he said it hurts because he was scraping it out, and told me to endure just a little more. If it wasn’t inflammation, is there something to scrape out?? I had doubts. During the surgery, even after removing the silicone, the swelling still didn’t really go down. He said it would be better to put the silicone back in after 6 months. That would probably be safer.. He said there seemed to be a little inflammatory tendency too, since it was so swollen. Let’s go safely. I was in so much pain that I first said okay and had the silicone removed. All of this was pain within just 18 days. When I went to another hospital, they said that if they sent the inflamed tissue for testing, they could know what kind of bacteria I was infected with. I only found that out after removing the silicone. By then, the nose must already have been completely washed.. I asked the doctor why he didn’t send it for inflammation testing. He said he didn’t send it because there was no inflammation. Does that make sense?? There was no inflammation, but the area between my eyebrows swelled up like crazy. Even during the surgery, he said there seemed to be a little inflammatory tendency, but then he changed his words. I am suffering so much mentally and physically, and every day is hard. Beyond the money, the fact that my normal nose became like this is so hard. They say contracture will absolutely not happen, but right now my nose is hard. I’m so scared.. .. Everyone.. has anyone had silicone removed because of inflammation and not developed contracture..,, Ah, I never want to have surgery again, but because they say that if contracture is going to happen, revision surgery should be done before contracture occurs.. I’m thinking about it.
