I've left review posts in this community a few times.. saying my nose feels uncomfortable... It's now been 1 year and 9 months since surgery. I had crooked nose correction, the bridge of my nose was shaved slightly, a 1 mm silicone implant was used, and my nasal tip and columella were raised with septal cartilage. After surgery, once 6 months had passed and then around 1 year had passed, cartilage started protruding inside my nostril and it felt hot and burning.. I think it was like that for a few months.. At that point I thought I should get revision surgery to correct it.. After surgery, cartilage was prominently palpable on the left side of my nasal bridge, but it didn't hurt or anything.. But when breathing, it felt a bit stuffy and heavy.. The bridge on the other side wasn't like that, so comparing them made it feel even more stuffy. But recently it started to hurt.. It feels stiff and throbbing.. Since I usually have headaches, I went to the neurosurgery clinic I normally visit and had a CT scan.. I guess the silicone was visible too.. When I happened to mention that I was thinking about nose removal surgery, the doctor said it looks pretty now, so why remove it.. So I said it hurts.. Then they said it can be like that after surgery. They said they had also performed it a few times in the past... They said not everyone is satisfied even after removal, and if the silicone is taken out, it can feel strange in its own way.. If I just take medicine and get better, I'll just live with it. Still, when I asked whether problems could occur because I wanted removal, they said if I wanted it that much, there would be no major problem with removing it.. For further questions, they told me to ask the surgeon who operated on me.. I went to an ENT clinic to see if maybe there was inflammation in the nasal mucous membrane... The doctor said the area is somewhat far from the silicone, so it doesn't seem to be because of the silicone.. but they also said they couldn't definitively say it wasn't.. For now, they told me to try taking the prescribed antibiotics, and if it still kept hurting, then it would be because of the nose surgery, so I should see a plastic surgeon.. When I said I was thinking about removal.. they said because I had nose surgery, if I remove it my nose would become strange.. They said if the silicone is removed, the nose would become wrinkled.. I said, it's only 1 mm though? And they said still, that's what would happen.. The shape of the nose could become strange too.. Finally I met the doctor who operated on me.. Leaving aside the discomfort after surgery, I had pain, so I had quite a lot I wanted to ask and a lot I wanted to hear.. But the consultation wasn't in a consultation room; it was in the small treatment room where they disinfect you after surgery.. So I thought maybe they were going to properly look at the painful areas or things like that. But after hearing what I said, they simply said it could be removed, only the protruding parts... They told me to set a date and go.. So I asked, since the bridge of my nose hurts now, will that go away if it's removed? They said it would be relieved to some extent if removed.. But they couldn't guarantee it would disappear completely.. I said I also don't like that silicone was put in.. Didn't we originally agree during the consultation not to put it in? They said if that is removed too, it will be bumpy.. When I asked why, they said even if the top surface of the silicone is flat, the underside is bumpy.. I don't know what that means..ㅡㅡ A few days after my surgery, when they told me they had put in silicone, they said my line had been bumpy.. Then if it was originally bumpy, it shouldn't matter.. I don't understand whether they shaved my nose to make it more bumpy while putting in the silicone or what... There is no guarantee it won't hurt even if I get correction, and getting correction because it hurts again would also be hard.. When I said I just want removal, they said my nose could collapse.. They said that's something the patient has to take responsibility for, and the cost is 1 million won. So I couldn't even consult more.. They gestured as if to stop. I left feeling very hurt. The same words can come across completely differently depending on how they are said, and I wondered how they could consult like that when I had come all that way from far away with difficulty.. I set a date, but since I didn't get a proper consultation, I have to decide whether to correct it or remove it... The explanation was lacking, so it's hard to decide. Even if I get correction, they can't guarantee I won't have pain again, and I also don't want to have another surgery later if unwanted silicone causes side effects.. Some might say why worry about all side effects in advance, but after feeling pain in two areas, I started to feel skeptical about surgery.. I'm going to get consultations at other places and then decide. Please share information on people who had removal done well somewhere other than where they had surgery.. I'm really depressed.. And if silicone is removed, does it really become severely bumpy? If the nasal tip, columella, and septal cartilage are removed, does the nose collapse?? ㅠㅡㅜ Please help me.. The only place I've heard of as a removal clinic is Homme & Femme, so how is this place? Even by private message, please let me know if you have consultation or surgery experience.. Since the surgeon who operated on me spoke that way, even if I pay 1 million won for removal, I wonder whether they will really do it carefully.. I feel like even after I pay, they won't properly handle disinfecting and treatment afterward, or treatment if a problem occurs.. saying it was my decision...ㅠㅡㅠ
