I had it removed just 5 weeks after surgery... Because of a closed-surgery scar that wouldn’t heal even after 5 weeks, I got disinfection and injections for all 5 weeks, and the bruising didn’t go away, and the swelling didn’t go down either. I went in just to have my nasal tip touched up, but they told me to place silicone too, so I asked them not to raise it and to do only the bare minimum, but after surgery.. anyone could see it... lol On top of that, I was trying to correct a short nose, but instead, compared with before surgery, my nostrils got bigger and turned up. From the side, the whole nose shape looked exactly like this > .. I was scared my nose would turn up even more if I removed everything, so I only removed the silicone.. I feel much lighter now... People say it actually looks better after removing it... Before my nose surgery, I had looked around a community, but I just went ahead with it thinking, surely something like this won’t happen to me.. I was scared of getting an upturned nose, so I left the ear cartilage in... Other people said their nasal tips drooped, so they removed the nasal tip too... I really hope my nasal tip droops even just a little.. It wasn’t contracture or inflammation... No.. if the closed-surgery scar wasn’t healing, does that mean it was inflammation?? But other than it not healing, there was no pain, swelling, redness, or anything like that at all... I think it didn’t heal because the silicone and nasal tip were crooked.. That’s why the swelling didn’t go down either... Yesterday, I went and had only the silicone removed... At the hospital where I had the surgery. I’m posting this anxiously, worried I’ll get an upturned nose... Still, my mind feels lighter than ever. I’ve been freed from the silicone that was weighing heavily on my face... I’ll post from time to time while watching the progress.
