The truly hard, long, long nightmare tunnel has ended.
Originally, I had a short, low nose with a wide dorsum.
First surgery in 2006 ☞ osteotomy + silicone + ear cartilage + cartilage binding ☞ result: avatar-like glabella, pinched nasal tip, crooked silicone, no columellar strut so it curled inward
Then 6 months later, a second surgery at the same hospital (as natural as possible, absolutely do not raise the glabella, bring out the columella) ☞ silicone + ear cartilage ☞ result: glabella still avatar-like, nasal dorsum much lower than the glabella (like an hourglass shape), nasal tip still pinched, ear cartilage was only slightly inserted halfway along the columellar incision area, scar tissue
Summer 2008, third surgery at another hospital (I don't even want it to be pretty, just as natural as possible like an ordinary person's nose, absolutely do not raise the glabella, bring out the columella) ☞ silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage ☞ result: L-shaped silicone inserted, glabella became much higher, nasal tip pinched and lifted, silicone crooked. When removed, they said 4 mm had been inserted.
Haㅠㅜ My nose shape had never once been pretty and was always avatar-likeㅠㅠ My nasal tip was a mess too, but I hated the avatar look moreㅜㅠ Even though I said not to raise only the glabella and that I had no greed, it was like I paid money for them to build my glabella higher and higherㅠㅠ I thought I would go crazy, and even when I complained, their attitude was basically do whatever you want. . It was really hard, but I just lived hearing that my nose looked strange because I was scared. . Even after revision surgery, far from getting better, it was just the avatar look repeating, and the nasal tip was a mess tooㅠㅠ My nose is small and short, so the nasal tip length needed to be extended, but the previous doctors' skills were terrible; they only knew how to build the glabella higher and higher and could not extend the nasal tip lengthㅡㅠ Looking back now, I am grateful they had no skill. . I visited 15 hospitals while debating between revision surgery and removal, but everyone said removal would be a big disaster, the nose would lift, collapse, it was contracture! and so on. . They said it had to be lengthened with costal cartilageㅠㅠ or with cartilage from both earsㅜㅠ Or, thankfully, since septal cartilage had not been used, with septal cartilage. . I am grateful they had not used my septal cartilage. . By then I had already learned a lot about noses, so if I used costal cartilage or septal cartilage. . I understood that even if it failed, at that point even if I wanted removal, my nose would collapse. . Before crossing an even bigger river, I thought I had to stop here, so even though they urgently tried to dissuade me, I asked them to remove it. I also had severe nasal obstruction and functional issues, so I went to the otolaryngology department at a university hospital and had it removed. . Before surgery, the professor said one thing! Your nose could lift more! So I said yes, yes! I am preparedㅠㅠ Then he tapped my shoulder and said he would do his best to keep it from liftingㅜㅠ I was so gratefulㅠㅜ and he said he would do it with a closed approachㅡㅠ On the way to the operating room, tears kept flowing endlesslyㅜㅠ I prayed to God, almost threatening Him, saying I had reflected a lot, please save me, and if this goes wrong again I might dieㅠㅜ In the end, the L-shaped silicone was removed, the ear cartilage was removed, and the cartilage binding was undone. . The result is between my original nose and my post-surgery nose. . The nasal tip came down compared with before removal, but compared with my original nose, it is slightly lifted and defined. . The professor asked, are you okay? . . Actually, it is very short, and his eyes seemed to ask, are you okay with this kind of nose? But I love itㅜㅠ My nose is so short, about two finger jointsㅋㅋ But to me, this nose is so pretty and I am so gratefulㅠㅜ Since all the nose shapes had been such a mess. . Even though it is not a pretty nose, I am endlessly moved that it looks naturalㅠㅠ You really should not get your nose doneㅜㅠ The reason I removed it without listening to doctors. . I do not trust doctors. . I know the history of changes in my nose best, and I experienced it with my own body and studied it. . They said it would collapse and that it was contracture, but. . It was not contracture. . And I did not think it would collapse. . Now I think it is even prettier than my original nose. . It feels like the nasal tip has been slightly corrected. . Anyway, everyone, stay strong. . A long, long nightmare is bound to end someday~ Now I am going to put down all the weight on my heart. Everyone, stay strong^^
