I had always had a complex about asymmetry and my cheekbones, so I extremely hated photos taken with a regular camera or from the front.. Even after going to several dental clinics for consultations, they seemed to say that my case would be difficult to treat with orthodontics and that I absolutely needed two-jaw surgery. Two-jaw surgery is such a major operation and the cost is also a big burden, so I lived for years thinking I should just live with the face I was born with. But after setting my wedding date, I started worrying about my face and thought I should at least get consultations, so I consulted at 2 places. The first hospital talked about roughly two-jaw surgery + 3 types of facial contouring + chin advancement + protruding mouth correction, and said my case was a difficult one. The consultant and doctor gave me a very detailed and careful consultation. The second place didn’t mention chin tip or protruding mouth and only talked about two-jaw surgery + contouring. Unlike the first hospital, the consultation felt too casual, and the consultant also seemed to just be lowering the price, so after thinking it over, I decided to do it at the first hospital. On the day of surgery, I lay down on the operating table and fell asleep right away. After surgery, more than the pain, the process of waking up from anesthesia was so hard, and I kept vomiting bloodㅠㅠ.. Drinking water and New Care with a syringe was so difficult, and it felt hard that even though it wouldn’t go in, I had to keep eating. Also, after you are discharged, please make sure to do the ice packs exactly the way the hospital tells youㅠㅠ I didn’t do it properly, so when I went to the hospital for my 1-week checkup, my face was more swollen than when I had been hospitalized. At the hospital, they kneaded my face like flour dough, without mercy...... I remember crying my eyes out while being kneaded....ㅠㅜㅜㅜㅜ When I swelled up even more because I didn’t do the ice packs properly.. around day 5 It was about one week after surgery, and even until then I kept thinking maybe I shouldn’t have had the surgery, and the swelling was going down slowly, so I was anxious..ㅠㅠ (The hospital had already told me before surgery that my tissue type is slow to lose swelling..) Even with swelling, I really like my facial line and am satisfied. I saw a post saying you only need to endure one week, and seriously, if you endure just one week, it becomes manageable.. For those who are thinking about it, have courage!
