<Before surgery, there was absolutely no dimensionality, I had a hump, and it looked like a pressed-down bulbous nose><After surgery, the hump was removed, the nasal bridge line was also refined, and the tip that used to look bulbous became rounded and slim without being too pointy>Honestly, when you see my nose in person rather than in photos, you can feel that the hump is worse and that there’s no dimensionality. The requirements I wanted were the same while I went around to 4 clinics for consultations. Natural-looking, but I didn’t want a nose with too little change either.. I said I wanted to use as little nasal material as possible. I only went mainly to clinics I’d heard were somewhat famous, but the first and second clinics were the worst.. Maybe because it was my first surgery and relatively easy, the consultations weren’t detailed and felt insincere. I was honestly angry because it felt like such a waste of time;; There was even a place where the consultation ended in 5 minutes. Are they saying they can fully understand my nose and explain everything in those few minutes?? What kind of confidence is that..?.. They didn’t explain the surgical method or the surgery in detail, so I couldn’t trust them. The consultation at the third clinic itself wasn’t bad.. But I clearly dislike artificial-looking noses with pointy tips that obviously look operated on, and when I looked at the reviews, most were the pointy-nose style I dislike, so I passed. In the end, I had surgery at the last clinic. First, I thought CT scans were whatever since all the other clinics did them too, but when I saw them take an X-ray, I felt this place really examines things more meticulously than I expected, and it was a test the other clinics hadn’t done. I heard there was no consultation fee.. Just in case, I asked again whether there was a consultation fee, and it really was free lol The director’s consultation was much longer than at the other places too. It wasn’t just answering only the questions I asked. They photoshopped the nose shape to show me and explained multiple materials, then told me with priorities which option would be the best choice. I had surgery with *no implant: autologous costal cartilage, hooked nose correction, and nasolabial angle correction*. They said there was also a warranty system for autologous costal cartilage, so I asked, and they said they’d even refund me if the nasal tip droops. Being able to receive surgery with a bit less worry than at other clinics was the biggest merit. But what is plastic surgery? The real part starts after the surgery, yeah.. lol Now it’s a fight between swelling and me. What felt like the peak was weeks 1-2, and my nasal tip swelling was severe, so it looked subtly blunt and I regretted it, wondering if I’d done it for nothing haha;; But after week 3, all of that went down. I originally wanted nostril/alar base reduction too, but the director said if the nose is pulled forward, the bulbous-nose feeling would also go away, so I wouldn’t need something like alar base reduction. I’m glad I listened.. Honestly, since it’s my face I’ve looked at for decades, I thought alar base reduction might look okay..? So I debated until the very end whether to just do it, but I really should listen to the director after all..! If I’d done that too, my nostrils might have become narrower and looked pinched, or I probably would have struggled more because of swelling. As for the pain itself, honestly, since it was autologous costal cartilage, it hurt until the first week, but I tolerate pain well, so it was bearable. Ah.. what bothered me was not being able to scratch inside my nose..? haha.. if it itches, you dieㅠ Still, maybe because it doesn’t look obviously operated on and only the parts I wanted were improved, even if I went back, I think I’d still want to get the surgery. (That’s a lie. Honestly, I want to live with this nose for the rest of my life without ever needing revision surgery;;) It’s been a month and a half since surgery and almost two months now, but I’m living so carefree like someone who had it done 2 years ago, so I wonder if this is okay.. But I’m planning to enjoy it as much as the time I spent stressed because of my nose~~
