Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

4-Month Review After Complete Removal of Septal Extension

What should I do... When I’m busy living my life, my nose doesn’t bother me that much, but every now and then when I look in the mirror or take a side-profile photo, I startle myself ㅠㅠ

My nose was originally slightly upturned, so I had an open septal extension with septal cartilage (the doctor said he also slightly cut the alar wings. Who gave him permission??????????) but it came out looking inhuman (the nasal tip kept feeling pulled in, and the tip felt so heavy ㅠㅠ), so I had it completely removed after 2 weeks.

Even after taking off the bandage, it looked so, so frightening, but I lived thinking time would be the medicine. Not every day, but I disinfected the inside of my nose with saline, did warm compresses, and I’ve been taking Rizaben consistently until now.

But my columella is completely gone. Since I had open surgery twice, the skin shrank in. On top of that, why did they suture so roughly? There are indentations on both sides of the columella too.. and they’re uneven........ Maybe because of that, my nostrils, which were already uneven, look even more uneven. Ha... I’m tearing up.

Originally, my nasal tip was round, so it was a cute nose that contrasted with my cat-like eyes, but after the septal cartilage removal, it really looks like someone sliced off my nasal tip. When I read other people’s reviews, they say their own nasal tip came back within 2-3 months, or that after removal, because of scar tissue, the nasal tip looks like a cherry tomato, but I’d rather mine were like that... Looking at other reviews, they don’t seem as bad as my situation.. Inside, I think, “If only I were even at that level..” but who would understand how rotten I feel inside..

I need to pull myself together, but if anyone has had an experience similar to mine, please let me know whether it really gets better with time.. Thank you.
